I misteri del bar Étoile

Here is a movie with outstanding direction, plot, writing, cinematography, and acting including movement and dance. Use of rhyming color and motion in the visual factors such as autos, costumes, rain, and other set factors was beautiful. This was my first Gordon and Abel movie. I won't go through the plot, as this has been shared in another review. A hilarious outing, reminiscent of Chaplin, Tati, Keaton, Lloyd. The plot included missed connections, swapped identity, thwarted revenge, and a real twist on the "femme fatale" trope. I laughed out loud several times. Not a typical Hollywood movie. I'd say this film has a Belgian surrealist humor. Recommended.
