The Bolens and the Solis'
Angie sleeps and dreams about her life and the choices she had made: dropping out of college; joining a group of eco-terrorists; falling in love with Patrick Logan; building him a bomb. She wakes up handcuffed to the bed with Patrick watching and admiring her burn scar on her lower back, which he considers a symbol of what they accomplished. She's not proud of killing someone. Patrick say that what they did in blowing up some office was noble. Angie says to that to the dead guy's wife. He asks when she stopped loving him. She says she never did. Patrick thinks she still does and they should make love to find out. She thinks not. Patrick threatns to kill her, but Angie says he won't because he needs her. Patrick honestly tells her that he needs her help to make another bomb. Angie refuses, but Patrick tells her that she will say "yes".
Meanwhile, Carlos is going on a business trip and will miss his birthday. Gabrielle promises to have his favorite dinner, lasagna, waiting. He tells her not to bother. She calls him out on not liking her lasagna. He admits that he never liked her lasaga but never said anything because he didn't want to hurt her feelings.
Patrick lays out the bomb-making materials. He's still waiting on one piece. He tells Angie that he wants to stop some clear-cutting in the nearby state of Oregon. Angie says they might hurt someone. Patrick continues to be unapologetic and says that saving the world is messy. She calls him a phony and says Nick showed her what a coward he really is. Patrick get angry and is about to slap her when Gaby shows up. Forcing Angie to anwser the front door, Gaby enters and wants a recipe for lasagna. Patrick introduces himself as Angie's older brother Anthony. Gaby notices the bomb-making stuff on the table and he says Angie's fixing his remote and notes she was an engineering major in college. Angie gives Gaby the recipe and hustles her out. Patrick is impressed she can make a bomb and hasn't used one on Gaby yet.
Angie sleeps cuffed to the bed again and someone walks into her room. It's Danny. Apparently Patrick texted him posing as his mother and telling him to come home. Patrick enters with a gun and says the missing piece just arrived.
Patrick ties up Danny and explains the whole story. Danny doesn't believe him, and Patrick says he wants to have a real relationship with him as father and son. Danny says he must be joking. Patrick says he knows it sounds crazy but after he's finished doing what he has to do he'll untie him and they can talk. Danny tells Patrick if he unties him, he will kill him. Patrick tells Danny that he shouldn't be mad at him, the person who spent 20 years looking for him, but at the people who spent 20 years lying to him.
Back upstairs, Angie completes making the bomb. Patrick uncuffs her so she can use both hands. Gaby comes back in with a test lasagna. "Anthony" tries to brush her off and tells Angie to get rid of her, but Gaby won't leave. Angie brings it into the kitchen and stashes a note in it as Gaby shows Anthony pictures of her modeling career. She takes out one piece and gives her back the lasagna saying she's trying to watch her weight. Gaby brings it home thinking Angie thought it was bad and throws it away.
Later that night, Gaby catches the girls eating the lasagna, having fished it out of the garbage. When she takes it away from them, she finally finds the note from Angie saying she and Danny are held hostage and to get Nick, not the cops.
