Portrays the dramatic events of the last hours of Jesus' life and his resurrection.

This is a presentation of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and shows the last week of Christ's life before His Crucifixion and ultimate Resurrection. It features actors speaking in both Latin and Hebrew (Aramaic) while major characters, such as Pontius Pilate and Christ, speak in English. This is taken explicitly from the Bible and depicts Christ suffering in the Garden of Gethsemane as well as being scourged and mocked by the Roman soldiers who preside over his crucifixion. Also depicted in the original version was a scene where Christ went to preach to the spirits in prison as spoken of in 1 Peter 3:18-20 but this was soon edited out because many people the LDS missionaries taught became confused. Nevertheless, the film ends with Mary Magdalene approaching the empty tomb and later telling the Apostles Peter and John what has happened. As they reach the tomb, a message comes across the screen testifying that Christ lives and gives a brief message for how people can learn more about the Church which produced this film.
