The discovery of a mummified body opens an investigation into a supposedly fictional film from the 1960s. It transpires that the gangster responsible for the bodies behind the walls in the Notting Hill house is still active today.

With Mel Silver finally getting her long-awaited promotion to Detective Sergeant, Supt. Boyd and his team investigate a mysterious death when mummified remains are found in dust bins. The body is traced to a house that has been much in the news lately over the eviction of the final tenant by a new owner who wants to renovate the building into a series of new flats. As they explore the premises, they begin to find other bodies in the walls and under the floorboards eventually identifying a total of four victims. The remains all seem to date back a number of years and through a public appeal, the first of the remains found is finally identified. DS Spencer Jordan finally admits to Boyd that he knows this house all too well as he lived there in the top floor flat as a young child. Spencer is conflicted by his father's abandonment when he was only 6 years old and now wonders what may have really happened.—garykmcd
