Manolito and Victoria's dad Don Sebastian visits the High Chaparral bringing a huge entourage as he takes advantage of his hosts under the custom of Mi Casa, Su Casa. His actions upset the activities of the family and he prevents his children from doing their work. Adding to the problem bandits who normally live on his hacienda in Mexico have followed and believe they can steal Cannon's cattle under the custom. Don Sebastian visits the bandits to explain that in Arizona the custom is not followed. To make peace he tells them to take scrub cattle he has seen not realizing they belong to the Apache. The ranch prepares to fight but Don Sebastian tries negotiating with Chief Chiopana. Manolito helping with the translation points out that under Mi Casa, Su Casa a visitor who causes damages is personally responsible for making good on them. An unhappy Don Sebastian is forced to provide the replacement cattle and ask Chiopana to his home in Mexico.
