Karla ha 10 anni e vuole riunire tutta la sua famiglia per la cena di Natale. Ma non è una cosa facile con i genitori divorziati. La notte prima della vigilia il padre annulla la cena e Karla, delusa, scappa di casa.

On a cold December night a piglet arrives to a flat, where the family locks it up and fattens it up. But on Christmas Eve the pig escapes, and with the hungry family on its heels the fight to stay alive and avoid the oven begins.

Simon lives with his mother in northern Sweden. She is a body builder and is training hard ahead of her next contest. Simon sacrifices everything to help her, but realizes that her body can't hold out much longer. Simon finds himself in an untenable position and has to make a very difficult decision. Leave his mother, knowing that she can't cope by herself, or give up his own dreams and stay.
