- Veteran actor Pablo Thevenet has no luck: His daughter has been murdered, his wife has left him, he finds no job and his agent wants to leave him - current directors will never give him a role. He hates current talentless stars on TV talk shows. Suddenly, he finds some job - as a living sculpture in a whore house working for a Mr. Reficul and his transsexual assistant Dora Grizzel. Pablo becomes an artistic murderer, searching for those he thinks responsible of his current state. He also meets job partner Tic-Tac, an ex-prostitute who will sympathize with Pablo. Pablo also attracts the attention of unusual producer Ambrose Fuch, who wants him to act and direct movies. Everybody seems to have something to hide - including serial killer Pablo.
- Snack Bar "La Oficina" (The Office), managed by psychological mute Smith and his wife Pruden, is the meeting point for the local con-men (the "los ladrones" of the title). They get together to slightly plan their moves while focusing on social life. Don Anselmo thinks he is the unofficial leader of the band, although he is more the leader they do not have--except when El Escabeche tries to get the rank. Other con-men include Arsenio, who is supposed to deal in antiques; Reme; unfriendly El Carteras or Durán, who is or pretends to be blind; Histrionic chief of police Comisario García is usually too inept to stop the con-men plan... but the con-men are equally inept. This comedy features Spanish humor with all of the usual cast of "españoladas", and those usuals who are not in the main cast... get to the guest appearances.
- Enrique is a gym teacher who along with his sister want to start a musical career with the support of their grandfather, a great scientist who wants to stop an evil despot from getting an artifact that would endanger the entire world.
- At the beginning of the new school year, Zipi and Zape meet a new student, Oliverio, who is bullied by other classmates. They decide to protect introverted Oliverio, gaining his friendship, then they discover that he is from a rich family. Zipi and Zape help Oliverio enjoy life by going to a party with girls from another school. A group of clumsy gangsters tries to kidnap Oliverio, with the complicity of his butler Bautista. After several failed attempts, they finally kidnap him disguised as Chinese. Zipi and Zape then ask their girl friends, who work at the radio station, for help. The children make a public appeal that thrills the town, urging many to help, from characters that had appeared (such as the teacher and classmates), to others introduced in a surreal way (such as parodies of the Hulk and Charlie's Angels). The gangsters are apprehended in a crowded scene. Bautista, wracked with guilt, rescues Oliverio and convinces him to say that it was all Bautista's joke. Zipi and Zape end with a song.
- Misha the bear cub and his family of bears move from the city to Himdabeya, a 99-person town that has been isolated for some years after a train bridge collapsed. Misha tries to adapt to this new lifestyle, in closer contact with nature, and make new friends - the family in general is well-received. Misha's father aims to work as a journalist, but a tiger blacksmith is worried about a possible power shift in the town with this change. The tiger, along with his accomplices fox Kongo and cat slacker Nekosuki (with their respective families) try to make Misha's family's lives harder so that they'd leave Himadabeya. Misha, designed by children's book illustrator Victor Chizhikov, was originally the mascot of the 1980 Moscow Olympic Games (XXII Summer Olympics). This TV series is one of the merchandise products created around him.
- Fassman, a successful mentalist retired from the theater, sets up a small parapsychology institute in Barcelona, teaching a group of people with diverse motivations. He meanwhile receives several anonymous letters from someone who claims to be among his students and who wants to prove that he is a fake. Fassman must use all his skill to discover who is threatening him, while he is affected by premonitions of his own death.
- A meek John Doe (suit, glasses) carries his groceries and decides to cut through by going through a tunnel, dodging signs about works done on it. He finds a scary long-haired man resting on a crane there. Intimidated, the protagonist offers him his wallet - but the other man wants his glasses. The protagonist tries to walk away, finding a row of groceries on the floor and, eventually, bars preventing him from leaving.
- Daniel Becquer is a parapsychologist whose 2014 tape was stolen and leaked online. He's seen working with Yuri. Miriam hired him to investigate her brother Félix's death, so they'll enter an abandoned hospital. Miriam's friends tag along, against Becquer's wishes; Becquer's assistant Yuri is taping everything. Becquer leaves the young people in a room to investigate elsewhere, where Esther admits that she wants to start a horror-theme series and argues with Miriam claiming that Miriam never liked Esther dating Félix, and then they see a dark ghost, thou they don't recognize what it is. Becquer explains how a "hole" was opened to the "second plane", and ghosts entered through it; these ghosts are dangerous and may kill the young people if they empathically detect their fear. After Becquer explains that these holes may be opened by ouija seances, Esther confesses that Félix had invited her to one (something Miriam did not know about), but she rejected it as, she also reveals, she had seen a ghost as a child and is now scared of them. Becquer's plan is to find out the tool used, in this case the ouija board, finish the session and destroy it, to close the hole - but before they can do that, another, lighter ghost appears. They all try to run from him.
- Leaving the hospital room, they notice Esther is not with the group. They track sobbing sounds which Cristian suspect are a trap, to find a panicking Esther holding her cell phone; Becquer is worried that Esther may have called someone. Becquer explains that the second ghost was white but first ghost was black because it had more than one identity, which is confusing to it. When a ghost kills a person or another ghost, it absorbs the identity of the victim. Becquer also explains that Félix had been killed and absorbed by a ghost. Cristian explains how Félix, before his death, was unusually scared, possibly already absorbed. Becquer plans to find the ouija board and end the seance by moving the glass to the word "goodbye", then destroy it; and to find the ouija, Miriam suspects that Félix visited the hospital to contact Félix and Miriam's mother's spirit who had died in the hospital, so maybe it's in the mother's former room. En route, Yuri finds another ghost upstairs; and they follow Becquer's instructions, including running away from it.
- They reached the basement and have to leave, if they can find some other stair. Erika wants to listen to the ghosts, but Becquer insists ghosts are instinctive predators. Most of the basement is safe, but Becquer's sensors finally find a ghost. They are scared, until they find a living person: Leo Román, a TV star and Esther's friend-with-benefits. Leo explains how Esther phoned her; and Becquer and Miriam are angry that Esther lied. They reveal to Leo that the hospital is haunted. Becquer decides they must use the original stairs.
- With Leo joining the group, they look for a way out of the basement; but they notice a cold announcing the arrival of ghosts. Fleeing from the ghosts, the group separates: Yuri is only with Cristian, Leo, Míriam and Óscar. Leo wants to go look for Esther; Míriam loses her temper saying that the ghosts ate Felix. Óscar thinks they should wait for Becquer to find them, and Cristian supports him, against Leo's opinion. They decide to wait half an hour but, as there is no news, they go out trying to be careful. Looking for a door to leave, Míriam is attacked by ghosts. Óscar wants to help her, but Cristian and Leo hold him back. The ghost covers Míriam's face with a black stain, and she falls to the ground. Óscar goes to help her and lifts her up, but she does not respond. The ghost jumps from Míriam to Óscar's face, and vanishes. Cristian and Leo, assuming Óscar is dead, grab Míriam and flee. They find Becquer; Míriam, furious, accuses Becquer of having caused Óscar's death, but then blames herself, and Cristian tries to calm her down. Becquer also doesn't know where Esther is; Leo attacks him, but Becquer defends himself. After reprimanding Yuri for having separated from him, Becquer decides that they should look for the rest of the group.
- With Miriam on the verge of shock, they continue looking for the rest of the group. Becquer hears a beep, and concludes that they've found the hole, so they look for the Ouija board in that room. Cristian has to explain to Leo what a Ouija board is; Miriam is sure that it's not the room where her mother was; and Becquer says that the mirror in the room protects them because ghosts get stuck in front of a mirror. However, they find an image that a ghost wrote on the mirror when it recognized him. Since they can't find the Ouija board, Becquer decides that maybe they've been looking for it in the next room; but with no luck. Miriam tries to guide them to the room where her mother died, and they look for Erika and Esther in the process. A new ghost appears, and they all flee upstairs. Leo shouts that he's seen Esther and they go outside to look for her, but they can't find her, and Leo collapses. A new ghost appears outside, but Becquer drives it away with his chain; when Miriam and Cristian see the chain, it's a Hello Kitty product, and Becquer explains to them that the object only has power because of Becquer's conviction, and because it's a valuable gift for him (he didn't need to use it before). They re-enter the hospital, and follow the sound of sobbing; Cristian fears it's a trap, but Becquer explains that ghosts don't have the brains to do something like that. They find Erika crying, alone. She has a tape recorder, she activates it for Becquer and a screeching sound is heard. This makes Becquer determined to find the Ouija board urgently, although he does not explain why.
- Becquer explains to them that the sound from Erika's recording is "the Scream", a ghost that he and his girlfriend Sonya encountered in Auschwitz, named so because it resembled Munch's painting but in black. Sonya and Becquer had gone to Auschwitz because the hole there should have closed naturally; but instead they found secret tunnels and that ghost, who killed Sonya. Now that ghost scares Becquer, and that makes him vulnerable. Míriam asks him if, by closing Félix's hole, the Scream will also go away. Míriam finds her mother's former room and there they find the broken Ouija board; Becquer breaks down because, if the Ouija board is broken, they can no longer close the session with the "goodbye"; and although Erika suggests rebuilding it, Becquer tells them that it won't work. Cristian then remembers that Félix had told him something about breaking the Ouija board, because he didn't understand what was happening. Becquer prepares a very bold plan: They must go to the second plane, which is exactly as this one, but with ghosts instead of people. The advantage is that Félix will not have broken the Ouija board there. They will be able to close the session from the second plane and as fact that they are linked to the hole, they will return to the first plane. To do this, they will sleep using pills that Becquer has: When someone sleeps, they do not have intense emotions and the ghosts do not detect them (unless they have nightmares, but the pills prevent this). They must sleep in the mirror room, where the hole is. On the way they find the symbol that the ghost puts on the mirrors again, and Leo hears Esther's voice, but when he enters the room, he sees that Esther has become a ghost trapped in a mirror... and a black ghost, the Scream, appears next to him.
- Everyone, including Leo, flees from the place where they saw Esther and reaches the mirror room, where Becquer hands out sleeping pills (he has to convince Leo to take his; and Yuri insists on being the last one to record everything). They wake up in the second plane, where they see a white ghost in front of the mirror (but they manage to avoid it discreetly), their ears ring, and some objects such as doors are unnaturally hot. Leo finds a hot stone, and Becquer explains his theory that the second plane is an intermediate plane: There is a third plane, which they do not know about, and the stone is a link that connects to it, just as the Ouija board connects the second plane to the first. They continue exploring; Cristian reveals to Becquer that Míriam had been possessed; Leo notices that the letters on Cristian's clothes have been reversed because the second plane is mirrored (and that is why it is harder for them to orient themselves); and Leo notices that Cristian is too nice to Míriam, who was dating Oscar (Cristian reveals to Leo that he had dated Míriam before that). They find Esther's ghost and the Scream; the Scream apparently consumes Esther's energy.
- Becquer guides the survivors away from the area; Cristian claims he had seen floating red eyes, but Becquer convinces them all that only white ghosts and black ghosts dwell on the second plane, not animals that could be perceived like that. They go to the room where Míriam's mother died, but the hallway is black, unlike in the first plane, because the ghosts have affected that hallway for some reason. Walking the hallway to the room, ghosts appear on both sides, surrounding them. They enter a room, but The Scream follows them and threatens Becquer; The Scream is not intimidated by Becquer's chain and, after using Sonya's voice, decides to leave; Becquer panics. Erika begins to scream, possessed. The others flee to another room, where Cristian and Míriam sit on the floor, and Leo criticizes Yuri for continuing to record. Becquer admits to Yuri that he has written everything he knows about ghosts, but did not dare to publish it in case someone misused the information; now he recognizes that it is better for it to be known, and asks Yuri to publish his manuscript if Becquer dies. Leo takes Yuri aside to tell him that they are the only people who have ever cared about him and that he offers to do anything for them; but then red eyes appear behind Leo. In a moment without audio, Leo falls to the ground and the others see that he is wounded in the back. An invisible ghost attacks them, and only the word "Nefancaión" is heard, spoken by the invisible attacker. They flee to another room, where they regain their voice and hearing. Becquer does not know what it was, but understands that it had absorbed the sound and that, because Leo's wounds are physical, it has a physical part: He concludes that it must be a dweller of the third plane, but he does not know why it attacked Leo, yet not Cristian when Cristian saw it before. Their plan is to reach Míriam's mother's room, close the session, and break the Ouija board. Then they will return to the first plane automatically, and this new attacker has no link to the first plane. They run there, but the third plane dweller attacks them again, leaving them soundless: Leo spits blood and dies, while "Nefancaion" is heard again. The third plane dweller, invisible, also attacks Becquer and knocks him down; when Cristian tries to help Becquer, Cristian is rejected as well. The Scream appears at the door, but can also turn invisible, and in a chaotic situation it is possible for The Scream to attack the third plane dweller; Becquer takes advantage to jump on the ouija while The Scream approaches him. Míriam wakes Yuri: They have returned to the first plane, and Becquer wakes Cristian. They leave the hospital, although Becquer has also seen the ghost symbol in the mirror. Míriam is happy to have survived the ordeal, and thanks Becquer. Míriam will take Cristian to his home; and Becquer still does not know why the third plane dweller attacked them; Yuri, absentmindedly, puts the stone (the link to the third plane) that he has brought with him in Becquer's trunk.

- Seville. For a year, young Al Pickman has been seeing ghosts that warn him about Olaus. Paranoid and suffering from nightmares, he contacts parapsychologist Isidro Ferrán, who tells him that apparitions are usually linked in some way to the person who sees them, through an object or catalyst, but Pickman seems to be able to see all the ghosts without that advantage. Pickman reveals that Inspector Santos, who has been dead for a year, recommended that he go see Ferrán. Later, Ferrán calls his ally Kleo "K" Vander Veer and asks her to protect Pickman because "they" will come for him. Meanwhile, at his house, Pickman is visited by the ghost of Santos who urges him to go see Ferrán. But before Pickman arrives, Kleo visits Ferrán and kills him, later displaying supernatural traits.
- Pickman goes to Ferrán's and finds him dead; He calls emergencies and, guided by a poltergeist, finds a book, which he takes with him. He drives away from Seville and reads clippings from Ferrán's investigation hidden in the book. He becomes interested in Moretti, a man who claims to see ghosts and who is in a psychiatric sanatorium, and goes there; he enters pretending to be Ferrán with Ferrán's identification, as if he were going to interview Moretti for a magazine. Meanwhile, on the blog channel Unsolved Mysteries, reporter Lorena Torres covers Ferrán's murder and says that neighbors saw a 20-year-old man flee. A mysterious man watches the news intently.
- At the Sanatorium, Pickman speaks with a man he believes to be Moretti, a man who claims to see ghosts and who asks Pickman to help him write the Necronomicon to awaken Cthulhu from R'lyeh. When the man's eyes turn white, Pickman freaks out and leaves, and on the security cameras the other man appears and disappears. As Pickman leaves, the nurse from the Sanatorium brings the real Moretti in a wheelchair. Pickman sees the man he just spoke to, in ghost form, next to Moretti, and flees, pretending to have an emergency, although he takes some of Wormius' papers almost without realizing it. When he gets into his car, he's approached by Kleo, who puts a gun to his head and makes him drive, saying that maybe he'll survive.
- Two hitmen visit the Sanatorium hours later; they kill the nurse, take Moretti and cause a fire and an explosion. Kleo explains to Pickman that she is an associate of Ferrán and that there is a conspiracy: Since Pickman has the gift of seeing ghosts (he is an "illuminated one"), the fanatics want to use him to rewrite the Necronomicon, originally by Olaus Wormius, but both burned 800 years ago. The man Pickman had spoken to in the Sanatorium was Wormius' ghost. Kleo discovers Wormius' papers in Pickman's hands. A mysterious man watches Lorena Torres' news about the Sanatorium disaster.
