Originally, Dominique van Vliet was going to reprise her role as 'Mem Klinkhamer', but dropped out because of her busy schedule in the theatrical version of Mamma Mia! (2008). The part was then offered to Froukje de Both (turned it down) and Chiara Tissen (unavailable) before Babette van Veen was eventually cast. However, she demanded her own song. The producers agreed and the song 'Hollywood' was written specially for her.
Koen van der Donk and Jos van der Donk couldn't attend all shows, because of their school obligations and were sometimes replaced with Maurits Kuiper and Thomas Kuiper. In Limburg, this caused a disappointed audience that claimed their money back.
In total, Arjen Rooseboom ate 65 pouches of chips, 130 waffles, 65 bananas, 240 gummies and 65 chocolate bars on behalf of his character. The part where he throws candy to children in the audience, was improvised on the spot.
Hans Scheepmaker and Winfred van Buren had several disputes during pre-production, resulting in Scheepmaker leaving the show and Steven de Jong stepping in to complete the remaining rehearsals.
