- Old man Victor, is a bore of a grocer who always tells sailing tales of the seven seas. Having been constructed in the backyard, however, makes it tough to get to the Seine River. The whole family has to chip in as one thing after another goes awry. What will become of the troublesome boat, and will Victor ever return to the grocery?

The tension between the villagers and the whores reaches it's peak following the deaths of several village children. Will either side win the war between them? What will be left of the town? And will Jeon-Rae and Man-sik ever forgive being ostracized?
- A frank coming-of-age story, in which young Yoichi falls for Gloria at the local strip joint. Yoichi's innocent nature has him attending her shows every day, filling his mind with her beauty. The standard bittersweet disappointments of the coming-of-age story are offset by irreverent moments of levity; a quirk of director Yoshimitsu Morita's which he became known for.
- Mary Michon studied the routine of 6th grade from the back of classrooms for months, to see how children treat one another and think of adults. She visited urban and rural schools; met with parents and teachers. Michon used all her observations to create the fictional Timotheusschool, a primary school set somewhere in the Netherlands. Everything in the series is based on real events. Several of the 23 children who played the students were discovered during her research. Rehearsals were held every Saturday for a year, and filming was done during school holidays. Some topics like emancipation and the debate over sex education are typical of the early 80s, but friendship, divorced parents, or the Cito test - are timeless. Mylou Frencken (who played Marja), Barbara Pouwels (who played Ellen) and others from the show became professional actors. Sports presenter Jan Joost van Gangelen, was the toddler who played Jannie's younger brother.
- A buddy comedy centered on a couple of 'salarymen' working for an Advertising Agency, who battle the unscrupulous practices of a rival agency. In classic Yoshimitsu Morita style, it's done with heightened slapstick that defies standard logic.
- Magistrate Hwang's daughter Jin-yi, is jilted before her wedding because a shoe maker was smitten with her and commits suicide. Jin-yi becomes a courtesan, and becomes famous for her wits and beauty. She falls for Byuk Kye-su, but he's chosen to be an envoy to a far off kingdom. When he leaves she feels so betrayed she takes to a life of wandering. She meets Lee Saeng, a destitute scholar, and stays with him until she discovers he's going to sell her to a group of itinerate clowns. Instead, she joins them willingly.
- BioDrama about the relationship between the painter Bon-woong and the poet Lee Sang. In 1932, during Japanese Imperialism in Korea, Bon-woong returns from art studies in Japan. He's a Fauvist painter who meets the strange man Lee Sang, at an exhibition of his work. They become quick friends, meeting most days and share interests. Lee Sang goes to a health resort for a medical treatment and Bon-woong follows, where they meet Gumhong and both fall for her. The poet loves her in the most base senses, but the painter's love is on a higher plane.
- It's the 1800s, Mansuk lives in a village on the outskirts of Seoul as a butcher; but his main job is beheading those sentenced to death. Whenever political strife erupts, he's kept busy. The servant of a rich man pays Mansuk to behead his master efficiently. Mansuk violently rapes the beautiful daughter of the rich man who's to be executed. He hates the upper-class but keeps his promise to kill gently. After her father's death, Sookyoung and her mother are sold off as slaves. Mansuk hears of this and tries finding her for a long time. Eventually they live happily together but then another revolution happens. How far will Mansuk become entangled in the turmoil and what will become of Sookyoung and their son?

Yoo-me keeps the fact that she has a daughter a secret until one day a reporter with a photo of her daughter, Suh-young, comes knocking. Will he expose her past and what will the consequences be?

A samurai dreams of an honorable battle and awakes to the nightmare of no foe to face. People search for anything from their old life that makes sense, and find only sickness and chaos. Everything is left burning and ashen before fireworks in the sky, like tiny atoms in the air, explode to the end.
- Anniquin are Korean immigrants who work sugarcane fields in Mexico. In 1905, a group of Korean laborers dreaming of a paradise, are yanked off a ship to face deadly heat and slave labor. Chun-dong is the son of a butcher and Guk-hee is the daughter of a ruined aristocrat. Some try to escape the abuses of the slave drivers but most are caught and put to death. Some of the women get special treatment for favors. Chun-dong saves Guk-hee from such a situation and they fall in love, despite the social disparity. Chun-dong is sent home to warn of the terrible circumstances, but promises to return.
- Anup writes for a newspaper, and his sister is invited to a girl's birthday party by her rich friend Gopa. After she leaves the party, accused of being a thief, Gopa comes to the house to apologize and meets Anup. He refuses her personal apology, saying it's a societal problem. Anup's boss sends him to a rich official's office who needs a speech written. This man is Rajendra, brother of Gopa and husband of the birthday girl. The speech Anup writes goes well, so Rajendra steals Anup's manuscript for a novel and publishes it under his own name. Rajendra is praised for his insight into the issue of poverty, but the workers at his company go on strike. Anup and Rajendra's sister Gopa, support the striking workers, but his paid goons squelch the strike. Disillusioned by the hypocrisy, Gopa leaves her comfortable wealth behind to be with Anup.
- Impressions of the director's mother waving, burning trash, slideshow of mom gardening, slow motion of mom pointing skyward until Naomi jumps over her. No real time sound - but foley noises or kids playing. Ends with sunsets as Naomi sings a nursery rhyme.
