When Nikolai escaped with the bike, he escapes alongside a canal. In the next shot he is clearly driving that same road in reverse, only the camera's point of view is different. All the buildings are the same.
In some scenes the registrations of the cars are Russian, in others they are Bulgarian.
The events of the film take place in St. Petersburg and its environs, i.e. in the north-eastern part of Europe. However, the obvious architecture of south-western Europe and the signs in Bulgarian do not correspond to this.
The nearest border checkpoints on the Russian-Finnish border are located no more than 200 km from St. Petersburg. For some reason, instead of two hours, the trip takes the characters almost a day.
