Party Monster

Continuity

When Freez takes off his pants in the "Club Kids Invade Dallas" sequence, he is holding a cigarette in his hand. The cigarette disappears in the next shot. Then comes back again.
During the scene in Texas ("Money, Success, Fame, Glamour"), Freeze is wearing black, leather, zippered underpants in some shots but not in others.
When Michael Alig is getting out of the hospital bed he is wearing socks. When walking out of his room, he is barefoot.

Factual errors

Michael Alig was arrested while in the company of his male lover, not his female lover. Gitsie was a secretary, not a girlfriend. Alig has never been romantically interested in any woman.

Revealing mistakes

When Michael Alig puts the money in the newspaper box to get a copy of the "Andy Warhol is Dead" issue, he opens the box before the money drops in the coin slot.
Nearing the midway point, when Alig shows his magazine article to St. James, the columns on the right (what is visible of them) is the same on both the even and odd pages.

Anachronisms

When the Club Kids are walking through New York at Night you can see the distinctive "green x" logo of Microsoft's X-Box games console in an advertisement. The film is set in the 1980's and the X-Box did not appear till the 2000's.
In the "party at the burger joint" scene, one club kid is seen dancing around with a bottle of Bacardi O in his hand. Bacardi O was not around in the 80s.
Much of the music that plays in the club scenes was not around when the original parties took place. For example, during the party where James St. James is in the "do not feed the drug child" cage (supposedly in the 80s), the music in the background is "Frank Sinatra" by Miss Kittin and the Hacker, a song which wasn't released until 2000. It is probable that the filmmakers knew about this, but used the songs anyway, due to their "retro" feel.
In the scene where Michael Alig buys the "Andy Warhol Dead at 53" newspaper in 1987, a taxicab from the mid-90s can be seen turning a corner in the background.
Some props had styling cues of 1990s products, alongside a 1990s Chevy Caprice being portrayed as the fed's car.
