- A handsome young man tells the story of his escape from a female vampire in Eastern Europe.
- A young man describes his amorous encounter with, and escape from, a vampiric lady in Eastern Europe. But if this all happened so long ago, why does the storyteller still seem so youthful?
The last episode of this fine, short-lived series is a vampire story more in the tradition of Sheridan Le Fanu than Bram Stoker. David Robb plays a young Englishman who, in a strange land far from home, becomes enraptured by the beautiful, sinister Dorabella (Ania Marson) even as everyone else around him seems terrified of her, or else alarmingly prone to fatal "illnesses". The conclusion, where he marries her in her ancestral home, is memorable. John Justin, once a debonair leading man of British films (including "The Thief Of Baghdad" and "Island In The Sun"), is extremely scary as Dorabella's aristocratic father, his death-mask face transforming him into the classic image of the nosferatu as he suddenly offers a terrible, toothy smile. The episode also has a creepy epilogue in which the Club Of The Damned's committee members realize that their current applicant is more than he has seemed. (TV.com)
