La mano asesina (1961)

Continuity

The train Miss Marple boards at Paddington has two-tone coloured carriages, pulled by a locomotive with a tender. She's never seen to change trains but then is on one with carriages of one colour, pulled by a smaller engine with side water tanks.
When Miss Marple arrives at Ackenthorpe Hall, the dog is shown at a distance wearing a muzzle. In the next shot, the dog is shown up close but without a muzzle.
The train in the scene showing the second train overtaking is hauled by a BR Standard Class 4 tank engine, but in two previous shots, the train was hauled by a tender engine.
When Miss Marple first enters her room at Ackenthorpe Hall, she puts her golf clubs against the bedstead, but they fall through the rails onto the bed. Consequently, when she then goes to investigate a noise behind the curtained door, the clubs cannot be seen. However, when she steps back into her room, the clubs are in full view and upright.
Alexander's hairstyle changes from parted to combed back several times between different shots when he meets Miss Marple for the first time and they walk down the stairs.

Factual errors

(at around 10 mins) The warning sign contains a misspelling: "No tresspassing".
When the police car is driving to Miss Marple's home, it is using its bell. The bell on British police cars is only to be used in emergencies.
The locomotive shown leaving the station is not the right type to be leaving Paddington. In fact, the station does not even look like Paddington. The shots of the train leaving Paddington with Miss Marple on board show ex-LMS engines, which would depart from either Euston or St. Pancras.

Revealing mistakes

When Jim Stringer gives Miss Marple a leg up to look over the wall, she spots the gardener on the other side. At the same time, Stringer's head appears in the shot although he is supporting Miss Marple. Also the wall is far higher than he is.
The train overtaking Miss Marple's train is being hauled by an ex-GWR locomotive number 2221, but the image is reversed.
(at around 30 mins) The train passing as Miss Marple is preparing for golf practice is obviously a model.

Crew or equipment visible

(at around 34 mins) As Miss Marple and Alexander walk toward the out buildings, first Alexander's shadow is seen and then Miss Marple's. However, there is a third shadow briefly seen to the lower right side of the screen; this could be that of the dog handler, as the German Shepherd is also in the scene.

Character error

The conductor asks Miss Marple for her ticket, but after she tells him about the murder she witnessed, he calmly departs without checking her ticket.
When the taxi arrives at Ackenthorpe Hall, it drops off Miss Marple in front of the gate. The gate is open, and Miss Marple is carrying a couple pieces of heavy luggage; therefore, it is rather unusual that the taxi driver would let her walk all the way from the gate to the door of the house. Although it is a dirt road and had a few small mud puddles, it was still in shape to be driven on.
