(at around 9 mins) When Joe is put to sleep in the hibernation pod, he has IV tubes in his arms. When the pod opens again and he gets out, there are no IV tubes.

(at around 1h 11 mins) When Frito and the cameraman leave Starbucks to film the new crops, Frito doesn't have any pants on. When the fight between Frito and the cameraman ends, Frito has his pants on again.

(at around 37 mins) When Joe, Rita and Frito are walking through Costco, in a span of less than 15 seconds the same female extra can be seen passing in the background three times, always going the same direction.

(at around 45 mins) At the cut to the close shot during the motorcade down Pennsylvania Avenue, the buildings along the street vanish, leaving Pres. Camacho's bike and the bus against an empty sky. They reappear at the cut back to the long shot.

(at around 38 mins) During the Costco scene when Joe first sees the Starbucks, the sign says:

• Latte: $2,000
• Extra foam: $500,000,000.

In the next scene however, the sign says:

• Latte: $200
• "Hot" latte: $2,000
• "Full body" latte: $50,000.

(at around 10 mins) On an IQ scale, "100" represents the average intelligence, with scores higher than that being above average, and less than that being below average. Despite this, the film charts the decline of "average intelligence" with an IQ chart starting at 110 and dropping well below 100. This makes no sense as 100 always represents the "average intelligence". Even if it was supposed to be considered comparative, the chart should start at 100, not 110.

(at around 26 mins) When Joe gets tattooed by the machine, the machine has written his weight and height. Assuming that the chair has weight measuring device when Joe sat on it, it doesn't explain when and how the machine measured his height.

(at around 50 mins) After Rita is captured and brought to Joe, she says "I thought you were in jail. How'd you get to be the Secretary of the Interior?" Even though no one had told her what Secretary he was, "Secretary of the Interior" was written on his shirtsleeve.

While Joe is depicted as the most intelligent man alive in the year 2505, the vehicles, machines, and technology shown, while far from advanced, would require skills and intelligence far beyond that of Joe's to design and construct. In fact, depicted falling buildings show the civilization is in crisis and living from the remaining buildings and technology from the past. In the same way, those machines were built centuries ago and just still working, or maybe there were remaining factories that were 100% autonomous building them.

(at around 50 mins) In the crop field, when the Secretary of Education fires the machine gun on the top of the truck, its feeding belt doesn't move.

(at around 43 mins) During President Camacho's speech in the House of Representin' he fires an automatic rifle to quiet the crowd. He fires upward and to his right, but debris falls on him from directly above.

(at around 12 mins) When Joe first gets out of his coffin after it crashes into Frito's apartment, the garbage piled on the lid stays attached when it is raised, giving away that it is glued there.

(at around 53 mins) When the mother is trying to feed her baby Brawndo from a baby bottle, there is no Brawndo in the nipple.

(at around 43 mins) During President Camacho's speech, a Representative on the front line fires his shotgun twice and there is no sound effect.

(at around 40 mins) Despite the established fact that water has been replaced with sports drink for most purposes, the pool in front of the White House is filled with water.

(at around 55 mins) In the montage following his initiative to irrigate the crops with water rather than Gatorade, the crowd chant "Joe, Joe". But they all know him by the name "Not Sure".

(at around 13 mins) Joe refers to Collins as "Officer Collins". No one in the military would do this. He would refer to him by rank (in this case captain) and last name.

Throughout the character listing, Joe Bauer is listed as "officer" or "private". He is actually a Corporal.

(at around 19 mins) Just after he has awaken on 2505, Joe is seen watching a movie at the cinema, however, at that moment he could not have had any money to pay for the ticket.

On the back of the DVD case Luke Wilson's character's name is spelled Joe Bowers, while in the end credits it is spelled Joe Bauers.
