Danny Dyer stars alongside creator and writer Ryan Sampson in Mr Bigstuff, and here’s the trailer for the new sitcom.
Danny Dyer may be better known these days as Mick Carter in EastEnders, but before that, he’d been a steady presence in British film for over two decades, from his debut in Justin Kerrigan’s Human Traffic through The Football Factory and Severance.
The one thing Dyer had never done was lead a sitcom – until now. Mr Bigstuff is created and written by Ryan Sampson, who’s perhaps best known for starring alongside Nicholas Lyndhurst and Celia Imrie in BBC sitcom After You’ve Gone, and for co-starring in ITV2 sitcom Plebs.
The synopsis, per the British Comedy Guide, reads as follows:

Glen is a nervy perfectionist and carpet salesman striving to live a suburban ideal and Lee is an alpha male with a prescription drug addiction and a tin full of their dad's ashes. Written & created by Ryan Sampson, this "relatable, irreverent comedy about brotherhood, manhood and carpet sales" is set in Essex. Also with Harriet Webb,...

"What is this place?!" Universal has unveiled the first official trailer for a new psychological thriller from Blumhouse titled You Should Have Left, based on the novel of the same name by German writer Daniel Kehlmann. In this terrifying, mind-twisting tale, a father fights desperately to save his family from a beautiful home that refuses to let them leave. A screenwriter heads to a house in Wales to start working on a new script, but begins to notice strange things going on. Starring Kevin Bacon and Amanda Seyfried, with Geoff Bell. If this reminds you of Secret Window at all, then guess what! It's from the same writer / director as that film, too. Lots of creepy shadow shots in this, the rest of it almost looks like a contemporary remake of The Shining - a family going mad in a place that won't let them leave. Check out the trailer below.

The creative team behind His Dark Materials has called the Philip Pullman adaptation a “challenging” show to write but the “quintessential” HBO/BBC co-production.
Writer Jack Thorne and exec producer Jane Tranter, who runs production company Bad Wolf, spoke about the big-budget fantasy epic alongside stars including Dafne Keen, James McAvoy, Ruth Wilson and Lin-Manuel Miranda at its TCA press tour panel.
Thorne admitted that he wrote several dozens drafts for the first episode of the show, which is set to launch on HBO in October. “We wrote papers to ourselves about all the different ideas in the show. We wanted to do a Ph.D. in Phillip Pullman and we tried to do a Ph.D. in His Dark Materials. I wrote 46 drafts of episode one in order to find a way to tell this story as elegantly as possible. [Pullman’s] denseness is a blessing and a curse; it’s so exciting.

Fabio Guaglione and Fabio Resinaro’s war-set thriller doesn’t unveil its grand conceit until about 20 minutes in, using nearly all of its first act to set up pieces it will inevitably knock back down and introducing character traits it will dismantle during the rest of its mostly interminable runtime. Set in the sprawling desert of North Africa, the film opens three months into Marine Mike Stevens’ (Armie Hammer) latest tour of duty, hiding out on the top of a salt flat along with his best pal Tommy Madison (Tom Cullen, saddled with a “thick-accented Southerner soldier” stereotype that gives him little to work with beyond drawing out his r’s), waiting for a long-promised target.

Simon Rumley (director of Red, White & Blue, Fashionista & Crowhurst) has begun a six week shoot on the brutal gangster thriller Once Upon a Time in London – for Gateway Films – which dramatises the violent reign of two of London’s most notorious gangsters, Billy Hill (Leo Gregory) and Jack ‘Spot’ Comer (Terry Stone), charting the legendary rise and fall of a nationwide criminal empire that lasted until the mid-fifties and which paved the way for the notorious Kray Twins and The Richardsons.
Director and co-writer Simon Rumley commented:

Drake is set to star in the London-based series “Top Boy.” As reported by Daily Mirror, producers of the crime drama/thriller are developing a major role for the Canadian rapper, who acquired the rights to the show after it was dropped by UK’s Channel 4.
“We met up to start talking about the show and we are working out a role for him,” Ashley Walters, who plays Dushane in the series, told the Daily Mirror. “He loves acting, of course he wanted a part. He’s going to be really hands on and is getting stuck into it.” Back in October 2015, it was Walters who revealed that Drake was interested in acquiring the rights to “Top Boy” after Channel 4 decided to kill the series.

"What if every step could be your last?" Well Go has debuted a trailer for an indie drama titled Mine, about a Us soldier stranded in the desert after his mission goes awry. I'm surprised we haven't heard about this film before? This is the first I've come across it at all. Armie Hammer stars as Mike, a Us soldier on an assassination mission in the Middle East. Spare a thought for Armie Hammer. The towering actor is just coming off Ben Wheatley’s star-studded Free Fire, a pulse-pounding action-comedy in which he plays Ord, a shady arms dealer that is thrust into the middle of a full-blown firefight once things go south. But for Hammer, it’s out of the frying pan and into the freezer – or should that be desert? – for Mine, Fabio Guaglione and Fabio Resinaro’s wartime thriller that centers on a U.S. soldier left stranded under the scorching desert sun.

To make matters worse, enemy forces begin to swarm in on his location, and it doesn’t take long before Hammer...
