Biblical Films is proud to announce the theatrical kickoff of its award-winning documentary film "Mama and Me" The Las Vegas film festival winner and San Diego Black Film Fest official selection follow the true story of NAACP theater award-winning actor, Lamont A. Coleman, as he finds out that his mother and hero has developed dementia and is quickly losing the ability to take care of herself. With all the odds against him, he must decide if he should put his mother in a home or put his recently budding acting career aside temporarily and become a full-time caretaker. It's a challenge that forces Lamont to draw heavily on his Christian faith and values and rise to the occasion. It is an undertaking that will put Lamont and his family through the fire but see them come out victoriously on the other side. As October nears, the Bay Area native prepares to hit not only the big screen with "Mama and Me" but is also excited to be working with Tyler Perry on the second season of his hit show. Audiences will be moved by this revealing but an ultimately healing story of a son's love for his mother and the ravishing effects that dementia can and does have on millions of families across this nation.
