Jennifer Carsillo as "Sam's Mom" in Gloria (2018)
In the short LGBTQ+ film, Gloria (2018), actress Jennifer Carsillo portrays a 1960s era mother ("Sam's Mom") of a gender-questioning teen (Connor Benedict "Sam") in a conservative Southern town. This was also the first film Ms. Carsillo produced, along with Christine Chen (co-director) and Camille Gladney (writer and co-director). Gloria premiered as a Top 20 Official Selection at Louisiana Film Prize (2018) and also won a Founder's Circle Award.
