I love watching movies, comedy and action in particular.
I have a strange policy where I do not watch any movie that is made 10 years before the present year. So as of 2008, I refuse to watch movies prior to 1998. I did break that rule a few times for some classics =p.
I usually watch 3-4 movies a week and comment only on the best, and the worst. No doubt that there are more bad movies than good in this world, therefore I might appear to have "bad taste" in movies.
You can love me or hate me. At the end of the day I will still sleep soundly in my bed.
PS. I'm a dude.
Probably worst horror of the year
A poorly written, poorly directed nonsense. The movie tries to achieve horror and realism at the same time. It cannot be done.
A bunch of frustrated people yelling at each other. Thats real but ain't scary.
The camera shakes all the time, that is real.
A kid who was fine the entire movie then just turns into a "zombie" at the perfect moment and bites her mom's neck. Thats horror, not real.
Both brain dead guys who were unconscious most of the movie, gets up and bites everybody around them just when nobody is looking, thats horror.
This embarrassment of a movie goes back and forth like this throughout the film, pursuing realism at one point then horror immediately after.
In the end, the realism annoys you, and the horror is illogical to you.
Top Gear Australia (2008)
Too much budget for a show not even worth it
The presenters are just not funny. The main guy is OK but the other two are just terrible. They they speak they try way to hard to be cool as if they are better than the UK crew. They are horribly wrong. The worst thing about them is that they THINK they are funny. They laugh at the littlest things they do. While the rest of us are sitting there with our pet crickets.
Now on to the show itself, too much budget went into this show you can tell by the way the presenters do the test driving and challenges. Every time they do the doughnut burning those tires it makes me want to weep. Every time they crash a nice new car into something, my heart tightens. They have absolutely no respect for the cars they drive.
AND They almost always use new cars in their challenges which IMO is stupid. 80% of my love for Top Gear IS their old junk challenges. Top Gear Australia is a huge disappointment. Major modifications needed.
My review is based on TG Australia First Season.
A movie that focused on story and animation
Beautiful movie, awesome animation detailed right down to the birth marks on the Captain's neck and the veins on Aki's hand. This movie was intelligent, creative, and elaborate. I am amazed that this was done before the turn of the century (release was in 2001 but animations take many years to develop remember "Shrek 2" took 3 years?) Really deserves a +1 rating to what ever you wanna give it. The story is great, I guarantee you will not be able to take your eyes off of Dr. Aki Ross, she looks so good. This completely destroys Advent Children. Like I said in the summary, this movie is about story and animation, Advent Children focuses on action and animation.
Cassandra's Dream (2007)
Unable to keep watching
With 5 other titles screaming for me to watch, and the power to stop watching this at anytime, this movie really really failed to capture my attention.
The plot develops extremely slow, I keep expecting something amazing/thrilling is going to happen because when you got the actor from "The Island" and another from "Miami Vice" can you expect any less?
When you got two main characters that whines and whines for half an hour, you know it's time to stop watching.
3/10, not worth a watch.
Mr. Fix It (2006)
Great acting, great plot, very funny.
Whether you will like this movie or not depends on the time and the mood you are in. I have many movies on my computer that I haven't seen yet but I chose this one because I wanted a comedy, badly.
I liked Alana De La Garza's facial expressions, very cute. David Boreanaz wasn't bad either. I think he's very good at facial expressions too. He has this big smile you won't forget.
I had a blast watching this. Not a hint of boredom. I can say this because I was sitting in front of a computer screen, I can pause it or stop watching it altogether if I really want to.(unlike the movie theater, you almost have to finish the movie so your buck wouldn't got to waste) But I didn't.
This movie is kind of like Click (2006). Full comedy in the beginning, then romance and sadness near the end.
Any movie is better than napoleon dynamite.
This movie is not that bad. Its like a rated R Home alone. The story is completely unrealistic if you think about it (how cannot the cops know the kid is the thief? his picture is posted everywhere!) but I was really entertained. You cant give it a bad rating if it makes you laugh and I laughed a lot. It made me laugh so hard just a few seconds in to the movie. I give this movie an 7+1 star out of 10 because that one bonus is for Marlon Wayans has the best expressions and voices. His baby talks, and crying at the end, and the part he have to crap (apparently i cant write POO under-cased) blew me away. He is like the new Jim Carry. wow!
Bailey's Billion$ (2005)
When I first found out about this movie, I didn't think that I would like it because I have never enjoyed rated G movies. I find them childish and the ending is always about family love (yuk). But this one is different, its funny, entertaining, and I never wanted to take my eyes off the screen during the entire movie. Best of all, correct me if I am wrong, no one kissed in the movie. So I could sit back and enjoy the comedy without the weird feeling of romance. There's 2 things i didn't like. 1)Why not hire pros to do the kidnap? 2)Who would make the doors of an underground illegal business so easily found and even easier to open?
