The Royals (2015)
Not your typical royal family instead it's life of wild times, sex and blunt and provocative ways!
Been watching this new series the very first one ever made for the E! network and I must say "The Royals" does deliver! True this probably is not how the typical royal family acts in England, but still this series is feel good feel free fun! The series no matter how good is fiction and it has plenty of family drama as it follows the times of this British royal family not just thru London, but thru the world of their travels! And even though this family tries to keep tradition they have plenty of their own vices from heavy drinking to having a lot of sex! True keeping the price of fame is a royal job all together while facing public scrutiny! Anyway the real eye candy treat is seeing the still hot and beautiful Elizabeth Hurley play the cougar type Queen Helena! Mrs. Hurley anytime I see her it's such an eye candy treat as she is the wings and shoulders of this series! So check out "The Royals" it's a feel good time and it's good to see Mrs. Elizabeth in a series.
A strange and well acted creep like episode that takes a strange twist!
A couple of weeks ago caught an episode on a classic rerun station of this classic series "The Alfred Hitchcock Hour" from the 1960's. This episode called "Lonely Place" from 1964 from season 3 starred the great and good character actor Bern Dern. The tale is good with suspense even with a creep like feel of mystery and in the end it shocks a little with a surprise twist ending! Dern is Jesse a drifter a man who's lonely as he just lives from pillow to post one day he arrives in a valley on a farm of a couple named Stella(Teresa Wright)and Emery(Pat Buttram)and oh Jesse is looking for work he needs it even if it's only the 5 or 6 dollars a day that he's paid! Soon little by little it's seen at the dinner table that the manners of Jesse is strange and different it's clear that evil lies beneath as on the side Jesse starts to kill pets on the farm! And Jesse has an eye out for Stella the farmer wife it's like the attraction is like in a sexual psycho way! And beat it all Emery the husband is fooled and to weak and really a coward of a husband to say anything to protect his wife! Only in the end a woman scorned and she will take matters into her own hands as this farm lady deals with both guys her own way as it's a goodbye to both the husband and evil drifter! Overall good episode with suspense and it has a surprise twist ending!
A cat and mouse game a sexy tease and con watch for the eye candy of Margot Robbie
Watching "Focus" is just one of those movies that will entertain with thrills it has fantasy and adventure of getting away with scores of money and guilty pleasures of luck it's like a dream for anyone! Will Smith is Nicky a con man who travels and comes away with money and diamonds only his game is changed when a flame enters the game a hot sexy lady named Jess(in a sexy performance from Margot Robbie). Thru the film it's a cat and mouse game the two play on travel trips as they hustle the goods and merchandise from the bad people all while having fun and passion and it was nice seeing Margot in that sexy black bra! And she even has a damsel in distress scene by getting tied up and having her mouth duct taped! Overall good little tease movie to see of fun and dreams a showcase for the up and coming sexy Margot Robbie.
Fresh Off the Boat (2015)
A good look at life and culture in the 90's from an Asian family!
Living in today's world we see more and more Asian people all in our communities I like living around them too, they are intelligent attractive and mostly friendly. This new ABC series set in 1990's Orlando about a Taiwanses family who moved from Washington D.C. to start a new life is a big winner! It centers around the young man and oldest child in the family named Eddie Huang(Hudson Yang)who is learning more and more American culture in the 90's from the style, music, TV, movies and one liners as this series captures the 90's culture well with it's slang and one liners! A real sugar and spice treat is the performance of the mom Jessica(Constance Wu)she's a sexy and sassy outspoken loving matriarch who guides the ship for the whole Huang clan as her husband(Randall Park)runs his steakhouse. Overall great show that learns us about Asian culture all the while being funny, educated and capturing 90's culture without taking things to serious! A thumbs up winner.
The Oscars (2015)
Upsets! Eddie clips the wings of Michael, yet "Birdman" flies over to top "Boyhood"!
Well this years Oscars being the 87th Annual one was okay funny with one liners and jokes with song and dance from first time host Neil Patrick Harris, as it was cute little Lego awards were passed out! And true the show this year ran a little long as it made me tired still it was nice to see some veterans win like J.K. Simmons and Patricia Arquette who both thanked parents, people and women in their speeches. And Julianne Moore finally on her 5th try won an Oscar as her performance in "Still Alice" was a long beautiful farewell. However the big surprises were Michael Keaton a long overdue veteran losing best actor to Eddie Redmayne why did the academy members vote for the new kid on the block over the veteran? And however "Birdman" would gather it's wings back and fly over "Boyhood" in an upset for best picture. Well just when you think you know how the awards will go year in and out finally some upsets! Plus it was a fun treat to see John Travolta flirt with Idina Menzel, overall a good awards show with surprise drama with the best actor and best picture upsets!
The Twilight Zone: A Game of Pool (1989)
Are you good enough to die for?!
This "TZ" episode from 1989 named "A Game of Pool" was a remake from the classic series. It stars Esai Morales as a young up and coming pool hustler who thanks he's the all- time greatest around. It's his obsession as this is all he does is he plays games of pool he has no life of love, he doesn't even see any movies or read any books it's a green table of hitting round balls with a stick that controls his life. Thru the magic and power and another dimension of "The Twilight Zone" the all-time legend and great pool shark the one and only Fats Brown enters to play a game with him! And it's clear and quick that this young gun learns it takes a life of playing to be the best even if it means dying to try to do so! Overall pretty good episode.
Fifty Shades of Grey (2015)
Plenty of skin and body it shows sexual games to new heights!
Saw pretty early on the much buzzed about "Fifty Shades of Grey" film I wanted to even though I hadn't read any of the E.L. James novels. Well I must say for the most part I was impressed as the film did have a story and it tried it's best to show relationship and chemistry between the two characters as it did deliver on it's theme showcase of plenty of sex, skin, bondage, and domination it was plenty for the eyes! A good film if you like to see little sex games! I guess the story in the books are much the same, anyway a college student Anastasia Steele(Dakota Johnson)a virgin is a girl getting ready to start to life out in the real world of work and relationship well that gets off to a big lift when she meets a business guy named Christian Grey(Jamie Dornan)the passion and seduction soon begins. As it's a take flight romance of control and hot sexual games that features bondage, rope, blindfolds and tie ups for Anastasia. Even though the scenes are not X they still are hot and go deep for an R picture with the nudity and skin! This picture sends a message that all of us have a sexual nature and a side domination and control that needs to be discovered and enjoyed with someone it proves that being erotic can lead to love.
Still Alice (2014)
A touching film of emotion, pain, loss and sorrow all while the memory goes away
"Still Alice" is one drama film that touches your heart and it brings out your emotion to see how that life is of pain and unexpected sorrow as it's that a life and memory slowly , but surely fades away. I must say that too Julianne Moore(one of the best actresses around) is beautiful and just fantastic in this lead role of a professional woman with early memory loss. Moore is Alice Howland a linguistics professor who has it all success, job tenure, and a loving family as she's married to John(Alec Baldwin)a loving and caring husband and Alice has three grown children and she's about to be a grandmother, only the world starts to change when she starts to forget words. Soon a devastating loss is discovered slowly, but surely a bright and humble mind is set out to sea to sink and this really test all of the family bonds especially with youngest daughter the want to be movie star the go against the grain daughter Lydia(Kristen Stewart). Overall this picture is emotional as you feel the pain and loss with Alice you feel for her as you see that love and support is needed as the memory fades. It just proves the memory is to be loved as it's bright as it begins to fade away with loss the sorrow and pain is felt, overall a touching and emotional film that anyone should see.
Inequality for All (2013)
A film that shows with data, charts, stats, and interviews that most of us have less money in our pockets and live payday to payday!
The film "Inequality for All" is thought provoking and revealing with truth that shows and proves that being a middle class American is becoming harder and harder as the gap of when it comes to incomes and keeping up with the rich is no contest. As most Americans can relate to it as it's harder and harder with the rising cost of stuff to keep money in your pocket from payday to payday as many stated in interviews during this picture that they don't even have much money in their own bank accounts! Narrated and done by Robert Reich the man who was a former U.S. Labor secretary and Clinton cabinet member who's now a professor and best selling author tells it like it is in terms of America's widening income gap upon the middle class. This film is well done thru Reich's speech among his class and with interviews from the middle class and even rich people while showing data, graphs, charts, figures and stats to support how the income gap has came over the years. And footage is shown to support this involving political leaders and wall street choices. Robert even gives his thoughts which is supported with footage as to the cause of the decline of middle incomes and just to name a few they include the decline of labor unions, and how the world of technology has exploded, plus as rich people say they don't spend a lot of money and as shown and said were in a world of outsourcing and global trade that hurts the middle guy. And with politics and elections money is the name of the game the rich guys have the final say as with a torched democracy the middle people have no say. And education costs have risen and the average man can't make the cost to get educated. Overall this film stands up and makes a case for the middle people as Robert proves they are on the short end of the stick as the average American knows the income gap inequality is our nation's biggest problem as the rich get richer.
A film that's different it shows that everyone has different taste, as car crashes promote sexual energy!
Finally after all these years I watched "Crash" and I must say it was fine it didn't let me down. As watching many David Cronenberg movies you know that they are different and raw and often travel on the edge and show the dark nature of life. With this picture "Crash" it shows just how people can become obsessed with pleasure after near fatal death. Really watching this is like a psycho sexual journey. Anyway James Spader is James Ballard a film director who in his spare time likes having sex with Asian ladies as his wife Catherine(Deborah Kara Unger)is somewhat of a bore to him. Well after James becomes involved in a near fatal car crash the incident leads to a meeting with Dr. Helen Remington(Holly Hunter)and soon the two develop a passion and an erotic attraction it's now a cat and mouse game of car sex and this underground underworld is a culture of raw violence and raw sexual conquest(Note I really enjoyed the scene of Holly in that silk satin sexy purple colored bra!) This film is clearly different as it explores erotic means and sexual ends in a raw and different way from the norm yet it proves and shows that people's attraction and energy is not the norm when involving sex and passion. "Crash" is one cult classic film that stands on it's own.
