Spiderhead (2022)

It's OK if you have nothing to do...

The story was OK, the actors were fine. Nice premise, but nothing mind bending or spectacular. Worth a watch if you have nothing to do. It felt a bit slow and lacking, but not dissapointed that I watched it.

Death on the Nile (2022)

Boring until the reveal

This was quite slow and story was a bit weak. Great actors and good quality production. Regular old, who did it, kind of movie. Worth a watch if you have nothing to do.

Moonfall (2022)

I really do, but this one just couldn't draw me in. At times the CGI looked cheap, other times it looked really good. Nice premise, but like I said, didn't do that much for me. My daughter did enjoy it though.

Jackass Forever (2022)

The boys are back and they are doing similar things and for some reason, even though I am now 40, I still find it hilarious. A lot of male nudity, so wouldn't recommend watching it with the kids, but they had me in stitches. I think one of these days Johnny Knoxville won't have to wear the grandpa costume, cause he is really starting to look like one for real. But I will watch these guys till they prank each other in the old age home.

Oh, the new guys they got in were pretty good too.

Turning Red (2022)

Good watch with the family

The whole family enjoyed this movie. My daugther said that people were complaining online about the animation style, but I couldn't see anything wrong with it. It is a normal Pixar movie and the story was good enough for adults to sit through it.

Dog (I) (2022)

Not the best dog movie, but still worth a watch

This is not the best dog movie I've watched. I may have expected a little bit more, but it was still a good watch. Also had a few good chuckles throughout the movie and the ending was satisfying. Good for a lazy afternoon where you have nothing else to do.

The Adam Project (2022)

Loved this movie. Ryan Reynolds is great as always and I was really impressed by the younger version of him. The kid nailed Reynolds' mannerisms and overall I would say a great film for the whole family.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2022)

Leatherface in a modern day setting full of woke people to kill. It is pretty good for what it is and if you enjoy these kind of slasher movies, then I am sure you will enjoy this.

This is good ol Eddie Izzard. Love his story telling and the way that he goes on tangents mumbling through characters etc. If you liked his previous work, you would like this.

Scream (I) (2022)

Good slasher with perfect hit of nostalgia

This is a good slasher film and I like that movie companies are starting to get the nostalgia hit right. Enjoyed seeing all the older cast members. Also had me and the family guessing who the killer was till right at the end.

Worth a watch if you enjoy the Scream franchise.

Marry Me (2022)

Gave it a 10 for what it is

This is a rom-com and it works as such. Enjoyed it with the family and could just switch off for an hour and a half. Owen Wilson is always a charming guy in these movies and it is a new premise that works with the times. Worth a watch if you enjoy Rom-coms.

Dexter: New Blood (2021–2022)

This is how bring a show back!

This was good old Dexter in full force. Had a great time watching it and the storyline was amazing. They sure know how to end episodes on cliff hangers which will make you binge watch this show.

I would have liked to see a different ending and they could have gone on to do so much more with this show. But all good things come to an end. Thanks for bringing it back and actually making it worth our time!

House of Gucci (2021)

I liked it.

I enjoyed it. Even though it is long, it kept me engaged and I wanted to see what happened. I was not aware of what happened in the Gucci family, so how it all unfolded was entertaining. Not that this family's misery should be entertainment for us, but it is what it is. Would recommend!

The Card Counter (2021)

Boring...

Me, my wife, and daughter all ended up on our phones before the movie got half way. I wanted this to be good. It has a good cast and it is a "big budget" type movie. However, the story was just really boring and could not engage us. I gave it 5 stars for the cast. Maybe if you are big into gambling you might enjoy it. Wouldn't recommend it though.

The Father (I) (2020)

This was done so so well! After watching this I can fully understand what people who have dimentia go through and what it must feel like for them. Anthony Hopkins is amazing as always, but I have to give it to the people who made this film as they put it together perfectly. Great movie!

You know you have a family friendly movie when Kevin James leads the way. This was fun, relaxing and a nice way to spend some time with the family. No Oscars will be won here, but still very enjoyable.

After Life (2019–2022)

Beautiful!

I was bored scrolling through Netflx and so glad that I stumbled accross this series. I am not one for dramas, but the rollercoaster of emotions that this show takes you through is amazing. The comedic undertones are perfect and I have to take my hat of to Ricky Gervais, as he did an amazing job on all aspects of this show and nearly brought me to tears so many times. Some shows you'll watch and go, ah, that was good and move on. This one however, made me want to go and tell everyone to go and watch it. I am actually rewatching it with my wife at the moment.
