Namaste Yoga (2005)
My Favorite Yoga Show Especially Seasons 1-2!
Lily Goncalves is my favorite of the Yoga instructors though I like many of them if not all :). She just seems like is having the most fun, really enjoys what she does ;). Not to mention seems to have perfect body from head to feet even if they are size six :). Another model is known for a video she did years ago that spoofed the Slinky toy only it relates to a more adult type :). She is another who I really like when is on the show during seasons 1-2 just like Lily is...
Unlike many other Yoga shows where the people talk or babble making it difficult to enjoy or do. This usually has 3 female models doing the motions as soft music plays with a voice over often in a whispering tone. Hence it is rather relaxing, it tends to be broken into 3 parts... All of the seasons seem to have an opening like warmup routine to prepare for the middle or actual one. You can check out the episode lists to get an idea what each one includes. They all end with some sorta ending cool down type of relaxing stretch. Later seasons tend to have more models while flashing into different environments. I think it was all shot in Canada, I used to think it was all green screens when first watching :).
I would watch this on Z Living when they had it commercial free. There might be better Yoga shows but this is vastly my favorite I've ever watched seeing all the episodes I think at least once ;). For any that wonder I think Namaste refers to the hands coming together akin to what might look like praying... Yet the fingers are not clasped, both hands being flat. The position is a bit more involved then that. I'd advice checking it out if ever wanted to try Yoga or already well versed in it :)...
Ash vs Evil Dead (2015)
Evil Dead Died Too Soon :(...
I really wish this show got to have the season 4 that it teased when it was already cancelled by Starz. I thought that setting would have been great, eliminating the negatives of dealing w/ police/real world things that took away from the story or enjoyment. In a way it would have been like starting where Army of Darkness left off when he went too far into the future before they changed the ending.
I think season 1/Pilot is probably the best episode or Season 3's first for how Evil Dead movies theme and feeling. Maybe some would consider Season 2 to be more like Evil Dead in that it was more horror than three stooges or comedy. Yet I felt the person running show at that time didn't get Ash or the logic of Evil Dead having many ideas I don't agree with or that fit him and show. Like he wanted to make a main character to really be the daughter of ASH. When if anything her being his half sister would have fit better with who his father is in the series :). When he did get a daughter introduced I think her blond friend would have fit him better ;).
I knew it was a bad sign when guy who was associated w/ B!tch Slap movie which I have on DVD... Not to mention ruining my favorite character from Teen Titans "Starfire"... Turning her into some black crack working girl stripper or whatever abomination? Instead of the sweet loving, innocent alien we all came to know and love etc :). To be fair I thought his first episode of Season 3 was really good... Though I think as a season it would have been better if he used that blond who worked in the hardware store much more than she was :).
Negatives for me might be Lucy Lawless, police involvement, modern world, others all over involved over Ash... I could see at times they focused too much time on his sidekicks or others over him. I watched Xena, Callisto was my favorite on that, getting to see many actors from that was great... Though I didn't like Baal, that being a major story line was a big negative... Lawless I wasn't crazy about, she never seemed to get her own costume or look. Its like Xena isn't cool without that outfit or don't work right... You might remember she had a different costume before finally getting the really iconic look :). What looked like naked people painted black didn't quite work for me. Many things that moved away from Deadites or the classic logic. Parts involving mental asylum or much of season 2 just wasn't my thing even if others liked it. To me it just wasn't Evil Dead it was like when this movie The Nude Bomb came out from Get Smart. You could tell the guy didn't get it or even really like the show, even if they might have meant well...
Positives include Ash coming back in his iconic role along with many from prior shows or movies he has been involved in. I wasn't big on the KOS or whatever theme, I liked the animation aspects they mixed in. That would make for a cool show if they were ever able to do some sorta rotoscoping or animated Evil Dead movie or series. I felt good about what could have been if they got season 4 from way it ends teasing it. Maybe they can make a movie based on that to appease us fans who don't have much else going for us :)? I broke down to get HDTVs just to watch this show :). I thought who they picked to play his dad was pretty good even if I thought it was James Caan at first ;). I wont ruin anything other then the time lost to any who read this ;).
I'd say check out season 1, if don't enjoy season 2, skip ahead to season 3 before giving up on the show. I gave it a 9 overall as a fan of the original Evil Dead trilogy not so much the reboot or remake ;). I liked Bruce Campbell in many other things especially Bubba Ho-Tep even if he wont be in the sequel that will never be made ;). The writing wasn't quite right at times, some of the lines by other characters especially :). I feel a lot better it ended after season 3 instead of 2. Dead By Dawn...
The Walking Dead (2010)
Started Out Great Before Destruction...
I am one of those people who don't want to watch new shows or get involved in anything long running. I had a friend who told me about this show, he was into comics like I was when younger. Eventually it led me to start getting the comics which I used to enjoy before Kirkman started to push SJW agenda not write stories or develop characters... Even Michonne who I used to think was a great character among other high praise... Has been destroyed in the comic as well as on the screen to point I hope she is killed off before it gets worse. Shawshank Redemption ran the start of this which was great gritty realistic. AS much as I didn't want to watch I got into it heavily watching every single episode. I liked the character Merle they added who was dropping N bombs all over the place. I was like wow this is not some crappy SJW thing where the racist trash is without any humanity etc.
I think when Andrea grabs Shane by the crotch was one of the greatest moments in TV history for cable anyways. They did drag on the story too much only to find Sophia was in the bard dead when in comic she is mostly a worthless character who is still alive. Them not following the comic is the main reason the show is so bad these days... Killing off characters like Andrea, Beth, keeping trash for too long like Carol or Sasha. This notion where they want to try to replace everybody or make some biracial relationship that has no chemistry on or off the screen that can be believed. It was no longer a story Kirkman knew bout him and his father or Plan 9 from OUter Space. Much like the 60's gave us a lot of Black Explotation movies this is basically SJW Explotation or how spell it now :(.
I gave this a 5 since the early seasons were pretty good even if they had some flaws. Yet the Gimple seasons make me yearn to be that Gimp in the box from Pulp Fiction instead of watching it :). I seen every episode several times from season 1 until the most recent. In some ways it makes me think of how True Blood just imploded by trying to push agenda stories or hiring writers based on gender or perceived sexual interests instead of talent and depth. You can tell a great story w/ characters of all types if they are true or properly written. NOt using them as props or pushing agendas or turning them this or that based on a letter. You can see Thelma become Black Thelma or Magna become gay because or letters or complaints. Then people will write in they don't have enough black characters or this type of character. WEll that isn't how a story is written, making characters a certain way to try to pander or appease people isn't real or anything besides propaganda.
If you read my review which probably wont get posted... Watch seasons 1-5, try to watch season 1-2 before deciding anything. I was never big into Zombie stuff, Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things being an exception worth checking out original. Night of The Living Dead, other movies he did were hit or miss/nothing overly into or in love :). POV does not dictate who is good or right, don't let Rick being the focal point or his group sway on who is right and wrong. Negan was probably the best character in the comic before they ruined him in that and TV. In a way Negan is the only character who wanted to make the world better or protect people which is truly sad. These other people are monsters, I hope the Walkers take over just to save the world from them :).
BTW I don't think this has any spoilers but if some admin does they can flag it as containing them if needed...
