The Goonies (1985)
The Goonies.....a brilliant adventure
this is by far my most favorite movie in the world (with Stand By Me running a close 2nd) it has adventure, romance, comedy every thing a person would want in a movie. I'm only 13 years old, i wasn't even born when this movie was made. but my sister used to babysit for two kids, whom introduced this great movie to me, then i often saw it on t.v, but never the whole way through. then i rented it and completely fell in love with it. then i immediately started looking around in the phone book for movie places, i called about 16 places. until i found it at a used place. for $12.00. i asked my mom if we could go get it that night, but she said no. so then a couple nights later she surprised me with it.now i am pretty much making it a habit to watch it every single day. i can pretty much tell you when and where things are going to happen. i always say to my friends who watch it...look here comes the good part. i have memorized th whole movie.
i have always liked 80's movies. my favorite used to be the breakfast club. i first judged it by the title i would say, Na it sounds pretty stupid. then i watched it and loved it then i soon became obsessed with Molly Ringwald movies like Sixteen Candles, which my mom showed me as one of her favorite movies. and the pretty in pink and all of that stuff, until i decided after i saw the goonies and stand by me that they were my new breakfast clubs (to which i memorized the whole movie too) i liked 80's movies with kids my age. even though stand by me had maybe one girl in the film (and that was Gordie's mother) AND THE GOONIES only had 2 girls who weren't my age i fell in love. i think that Richard Donner...a brilliant man.
i HIGHLY recommend this movie to all adults who have had a pirate adventure once in they're life
