Stay Alive (2006)
Pretty decent, but has it's moments...
I've seen a great deal of horror movies in my time, but this one surely doesn't "take the cake", but instead pours gasoline on it, sets it on fire and leaves it on the neighbor's porch.
Although I didn't "leave the theater in disgrace", nor will I rant on about how it was cheesy or the crappiest film in America. It's not. It has a nice teenage-oriented story (who DOESN'T love video games?) and the movie crowd was 60% teenagers and the rest were couples looking for a movie to watch on Saturday. The acting was alright, I've seen worse, and the visuals were nice. Although I wouldn't call the game "next-generation", but it'd do nicely if they really felt like making an actual retail game out of it. Without the dying in real life part, of course.
The names were odd, and sounded like a name you'd give your son or daughter in the year 2120 or when names don't seem important at all. Frankie Muniz plays 'Swink', an odd name yes, but I'd hate to be named that.
It was more funny than scary, not because it was bad but because I loved to see each person go down one by one.
I suggest at least TRYING to see this movie once. If not, you should check out SLiTHER or Silent Hill.
