Disappointed
18 November 2023
Lu bai Carried this show. I'm in episode 24 and it's painful to keep watching. I love Dylan wang but he lacks all passion in any kiss scene. I was so excited for this loving both actors but on screen has been no chemistry. I'm not sure if it's the writing but it's so awkward with zero actual passion. I've seen them both do better and Lu bai i feel has delivered more emotion. It's disappointing to say the least. I keep thinking what male lead would have done a better job. I love Dylan wang but this wasn't his best work. I wish they casted someone else. The story was cute but the chemistry just isn't there.

So cute, funny and under rated!!

I really liked this drama. It had some interesting plots with just enough drama without being ridiculous or over the top. The leads had amazing chemistry. Best kissing scenes I've seen in a long time. Definitely underrated. The beginning I laughed out loud so many times with the germaphobe plot. Great mix of emotions. The entire cast did an amazing job. The 3 co workers, the brother and her friend. All of their stories were short enough to include and be interesting without overdoing it. I loved his assistant. Overall the entire show was filmed well and didn't seem to stall. All the actors really did a great job. Loved it!

Loved this one
19 September 2023
Episodes are only 30 min long. So 30 episodes really is 15 if you think about the usual dramas that are an hour. I loved it all. They had certain problems happen but it was not long or drawn out. Things wrapped up and moved on nicely. I loved loved the friendship aspect. I wish this could happen more in real life and more in shows. That trio was my fav when it happened and continued through out the show. I enjoyed this so much after watching 30+ dramas. Finally the enemy of my enemy is my friend female group. Loved it!! The kids were adorable. Entire cast was pretty amazing. I was skeptical as it started but it was a solid performance on all levels. Had me hooked and enjoyed it until the end.

A big no
4 August 2023
The way this show started and then flashed back to how they fell in love was so extremely toxic and annoying. Knowing he was going to be selfish from the beginning took away any interest in the beginning story. Nothing he ever did made her validated. She constantly ignored her self respect for a narcissist. I don't care how they tried to play it as his genius. This was the most annoying drama I've forced myself to watch. I only watched it because of the good review hoping it would redeem itself. Nope. Save yourself time and skip this garbage. There are so much better ones to watch. I'm mad i wasted my time on this.

Has it all. Best series for a couple
11 April 2023
Finally. A series that isn't 50 episodes with no wedding. I loved this. Yes, male lead is sort of narcissistic but it felt more humorous to deal with this issues vs true egotistical.

The female lead was strong with her own resolve to be herself. There was a serious backstory that made the secretary to love interest more valid. The kissing scenes, finally leads that compliment each other and not looking like dead fish when they are being close to each other . The passion felt true and made each kiss and scene feel so real. Loved this series and if you've watched a lot and felt disappointed, this is one to watch. I don't want tragic sadness in an ending. This will be my rewatch when watching other sad endings.

Overhyped, boring and drawn out
23 March 2023
I avoided this for a while and finally caved in after watching many dramas and this was recommended. It was the longest 16 episodes I've ever seen. I always finish no matter bad, hoping it will get better. I've watched 56 episodes that seemed to fly by. I don't always need action or anything crazy but the female lead was very hard to watch. She had little character and even the sad moments felt self inflicted and selfish. Hard to like her plus but not being the most attractive despite two guys liking her and keep saying she was pretty. It felt forced. The male lead was charming but that's about the end of the interest. The storyline dragged so much of the same thing with no one saying anything of relevance. The idea of the different documentaries was cute but poorly executed. I feel like if they made it shorter, maybe 8 episodes it wouldn't have felt so boring. The supporting leads went no where it seemed. Unless you're trying to fall asleep, skip this one. I can't understand how it has such a good rating.

Loveable and heartwarming
18 March 2023
After watching many dramas, I needed a break from crying with all the ups and downs. I wasn't so sure about this one but decided to give it a try. Don't get me wrong. I love the crazy twists and historical dramas also but this was a refreshing break from that. Slower paced, but reasonable situations that worked out well.

I enjoyed the leads and all the supporting characters but their kissing scenes lacked a bit. She never seemed into it while he was bringing the passio, especially when he was supposed to be her dream guy. That would probably be my biggest gripe but other than that they seemed sweet together.

I thought the show progressed well with random side plots that all wrapped up. I can see why some love or hate this. It hits differently than most but if you need something to warm your heart, this is it. Loved it!

Unwatchable after MG
11 March 2023
The styling of the actors is incredibly distracting. I don't know how anyone in current times can watch this. The F4 hair is so unattractive that it's hard to focus on the scene. It didn't set up the characters enough on why they would be popular. I chose to watch this after watching Meteor garden. F4 in that was mesmerizing, so attractive , funny and believable chemistry. This felt like zero chemistry between the F4 or the female lead here. Outrageous pranks that went on too long. Very cringy and without the cast being entertaining to watch, This was painful. I don't think it aged well. I hoped it would get better but it didn't. Save your time. Skip this.

Entertaining, and worth watching
22 February 2023
After months of watching different Asian dramas, i avoided this one because college kids aren't typically interesting for me. I watched love between fairy and devil with Dylan wang, I loved his performance and wanted to see more and decided to try it. The male casting in this series is phenomenal. The f4 casted have to be the most diverse but equal in attraction. After months of watching different series, this is the first time the male leads could equally compete.

The series was more unpredictable than I could imagine and made me laugh a lot.

The FL was just okay. She was not as fierce as i would have liked her to feel for the role. As I watch other series I see Jung so-min or go yoon-Jung as better FL. I know it can't be redone but the ML made up for the lack of presence of the FL. I really enjoyed this series and glad I gave it a chance. I hope one day these 4 can be on another series together. They have amazing chemistry.

So good, that you will want more
22 February 2023
I finished rewatching this series for a second time.

Dylan wang is flawless in his performance. He has such a charismatic presence. Netflix has brought many interesting shows outside of American TV to my feed that I appreciate since American tv has been pretty boring for a while. There are not many actors I feel Interested in following their career., Other than Henry Cavill. His biggest appeal is his personality being, he is a self proclaimed nerd. I don't know much about Dylan wang but seems like many Asian actors are more fun and less entitled than many American actors.

Dylan wangs performance feels closely to Henry cavill in the Witcher. He demonstrates strength but also flexibility. A dynamic performance that kept me watching. I decided to watch meteor garden after watching love between fairy and devil. I really enjoyed his part, but really all the male leads were fantastic. He definitely grew as an actor from each role. His annoyance look is by far my favorite from any actor I've watched. He can look so annoyed but also concerned. When he smiles, it's infectious and adorable. He's very believable as a ML. I'm hopeful to see him in more roles. The FL in this I felt like did a great job as well. The swapping of roles each was great. I didn't love the high pitch voice but she was sweet and made the change easier to separate. My biggest gripe is that Netflix didn't add in the extra episodes after the finale that is available to other networks. This show is a must watch. The storyline never felt boring. So much happened and I wish we had just a little more to end the series. Wish they had a season 2 to keep it going but that seems unlikely. Great show and definitely one to rewatch.

Obsessed and crushed at the same time
4 February 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This series had so many episodes but I also can't imagine having less. So many up's and downs. My heart almost couldn't handle it with all the different heart breaking stories. I hated the queen which means she did her job well. I can't tell if I love or hate this series just because it felt so emotional. I loved all the actors and this series had probably the best looking male cast. Luo Yunxi and the one who played the snake fairy with the gorgeous smile were my favorite and the most captivating. I couldn't help but keep watching with their characters having sweet but complicated souls. I want to see them all be happy but that didn't happen. All the female leads got what they deserved which was satisfying. Super emotional but worth the watch for sure. Knowing the end, is easier to rewatch since parts got too frustrating at times.

Interesting and unexpected
4 February 2023
I went into this purely to watch the lead male actor after watching him in another fantasy show where he didn't have a happy ending. I didn't expect too much but was surprised by it. I was really hoping for a win for him. The breakdown of the character was great and he did amazing but the ending made me sad and wished it didn't end that way. The female lead did an excellent job. I really enjoyed all the character interactions. They seemed to feel very natural. I was surprised and excited to see some other actors that I had seen in other shows. I'm always someone who looks for the happy ending and feels sad with the unrequited love stories. They happen frequently in these types of shows but I can't stop watching. It's a little long and drawn out. Seems like they could have wrapped it up in half the time. I still gave it a high rating even though I didn't care for the ending. It did suck me in with their acting and chemistry. It was done well, and interesting with some unexpected turns.

Well-Intended Love (2019–2020)

Entertaining with a good ending
6 December 2022
I could watch more then the two seasons of this idea. The same people with different choices, loved it!!! The first season was so crazy but it's meant to be dramatic. No one is looking for relationship advice watching these. It's entertainment. The second season was less dramatic but more realistic which also was so entertaining and nice to see a more balanced version of the same idea. Seeing how problems can be handled and worked through. The first season had so much going on, I was happy to see a second that added more in a different way. I want to see it all, not just the "we are together" ending. Binged both seasons and I doubt it will happen but would love to see more from them. I love all the characters!! I saw a clip of this series on Facebook years ago and was always curious on the actual show. Seeing that part in the first season, i was so excited to keep going. Loved how each season over lapped. I love all of the actors in this and wish there would be more.

A lot of fun
23 November 2022
I'm surprised by the mediocre reviews here but I feel like it's middle aged people who watch too many movies that expect way too much vs the target audience.

I watched this with my 13 year old daughter and she is obsessed. I was excited to see a second one and it did not disappoint. I loved watching it with her, making it that much more enjoyable. It had some action and great dialogue. We laughed and got excited how things worked out. The filming of it was great and we love how Enola interacts with the camera. All the actors are amazing with great chemistry.

I don't get peoples irritation with Henry cavill being Sherlock. Why does Sherlock have to be a certain build. Again, some picky people can't just enjoy a movie. I loved his version and thought he did it very well. My daughter had no preconceived idea of what he usually is portrayed as and loved it as well. We enjoyed having the entire cast back and even the twist at the end. I read it's different in the books but I thought it was brilliant, even if others felt it was expected.

Can't say enough, My daughter loved it also. I feel like for who Enola Holmes is aimed at, They did a great job. Originally my daughter who loves anime had zero interest in watching a detective style movie and now she can't wait for me to buy her the entire book series. I hope they make more but it's hard to say if they can continue with the entire cast. Big names are hard to keep sequels going but we can only hope.

I gave it a 10 because we fully enjoyed every part of it! So glad they made these movies!

All the reasons to Love it.
24 October 2022
Without spoilers, the show is perfect for an uplifting story. I feel happy to watch all episodes and sad for it to end and have to find another similar. I'm an American that has been tired of the story lines trying to be surprising and upsetting.

Ive turned to K Dramas with nice story lines and a happier end. This is a great series to watch that will leave you connected to the characters but also feeling interested in their future.

I loved the premise of the book manufacturer and feel like they could expand on another season.

So many characters to expand on. I hope they give this series another season.

Weird to Glorify toxic relationship
6 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
So much of this show was wrong and left me irritated and a waste of my time. The lack of history on why he's selfish and why she would want to continue to be with him in spite of a healthy loving person being available at the same time. I kept waiting for more back history for his issues but it never happened. I didn't mind it being overly sexual since most movies are like this but was surprising for most kdramas. I actually have come to prefer kdramas because they focus on connection over shocking scenes but this lacked any actual history to explain the connection. The story line lacked depth for both characters and glorified narcissism without explanation. It was a lot of the same back and forth with no dialogue. Do yourself a favor and skip it.

Disappointing
6 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Feels like the writers got tired of writing and chose to kill it before it needed to be leaving it with a rushed and poor ending. The actors did great with the material they had but after 16 episodes, it left me annoyed.

The back and forth of current time with her daughter to her past with her mom was a brilliant idea. The details of most of the show was great. The ending matters though. If this series continued to keep going, I would give it a better score but the last two episodes left so much to be desired. No history on meeting her husband, all the years in between? So many things left ambiguous after so much detail in the previous episodes. Wish they kept it going with more episodes to fill in the gaps. The idea was great but the writers failed the viewers with the ending.
