The Belko Experiment (2016)
A little bit too much, and exaggerated
The Belco Experiment was a good film, but not very realistic. As a matter of fact, maybe it was aiming to be so darn real and powerful that it failed at just that. The gore of the movie was not too played out. Sure, every movie needs those bloody scenes. But some of the fight scenes could be better choreographed to create that stimulating effect. I thought the people, who were after killing the employees inside the building were okay, but they were not that scary. It was more like the movie was trying to make the killing spree build up, but it was nothing like that. At least it didn't feel that way. The more we saw the employees be killed the more annoying it became. It was like, who's gonna pick up after this ____? I also felt, in my own personal opinion, that they could have cast the protagonist as someone else. Sure, the chick was hot, but the guy needed to work on his looks. LOL. Sorry. At the end, when we realize the guy was in fact as crazy as all of those other people throughout the world, or Colombia, it's realistic. So he fought so much he finally ended up crazy. A madman.
A Cure for Wellness (2016)
Great movie with dark imagery
I really liked the movie, because it was different from any other asylum-type movies I had previously seen. I like the whole fact of Dane's character going to the asylum to find his business partner and then ending up being trapped himself. Such bad luck, huh? Anyhow, I thought the whole deer coming out and then the imagery with the girl surrounded by snakes in the bathtub was just intensifying. I really liked the music during the juke box too.
