Good enough to be a monster attack B-movie, but not good enough to be AVP
While this movie is not completely 1 out of 10 bad, I can still see why many people are rating it that way. If it was just another straight-to-DVD teen monster slasher B-movie, it probably would have been more appreciated. But if you look at it like an Alien/Predator movie, you realize it's crap compared to the other alien/predator films. A lot of people say AVP was crap because of the PG-13 rating (less blood/gore/violence)and that this was the same crap as AVP only with a couple more "f" words. I'm just trying to say that this movie is average in monster attack B-movie standards, but in Alien or Predator standards, it's pretty awful compared to Alien, Aliens or Predator.
Bone Sickness (2004)
Good for an amateur horror film.
I have seen some really stupid and pointless amateur horror films but this one had some great realistic-looking gore effects and old-fashioned zombies. I enjoyed watching this movie. Most amateur films aren't that good, but there are always exceptions. Overall, this is a rather good movie. I can grade this movie on how it was good in different ways: It obviously gets an A for gore, and it gets about a B+ on how I enjoyed it in general. In my opinion, it is the best independent horror movie I have ever seen. If you think all independent horror movies suck, "Bone Sickness" will prove you wrong. A good movie in general, out of . Here is a brief explanation to what the squares mean. - Shame on the filmmaker who made this crap. - There are better ways to hopelessly waste 2 hours. - An OK movie. - A good movie worth seeing. - An absolute masterpiece.
Dead Birds (2004)
A Horror movie that's actually creepy.
I've seen films like The Evil Dead, The Amityville Horror, Poltergeist, The Exorcist, The Shining,The Ring, and The Grudge, but none of them were as scary as this one. Compared to other horror movies I've seen, this one was SCARY ! It didn't give me nightmares or trouble sleeping but still it was the scariest I've seen so far. This is exactly what I picture in my head as an excellent and true "horror" movie. If you are looking for horror go see this, and avoid those PG or PG-13 rated "horror" movies where they only use people in stupid Halloween costumes or loud computer-created noises to try and scare you. LOL. I love the demon people, the horror, action, gore, and thrills of this super-cool horror movie!
An okay TV movie
This movie is not that bad, but I don't love it though. I liked some parts but disliked some, this movie does have it's moments. It's mainly about a spider family's adventures in a field. I expected worse stuff if it was a "TV" movie. I don't get why so many people simply hate direct to video and TV films. Not all of them are bad. This is actually a cute kids animated film. I think the coolest part was when the spider got rescued from the sticky tree sap. So overall, this is an average flick that has it's good moments but it's nothing unusually special. I recommend this to little kids and people who like cheesy kids flicks. These films for me are not my genre. I prefer horror. But I just saw this on television and found it OK. 6 out of 10.
