Money Monster (2016)
Trailer was good, resist the urge to watch the movie
What a boring movie. I watched the trailer and thought this would be a riveting action filled movie. Nope; it's actually a really lazily directed/acted/produced movie with absolutely no excitement. The trailer is excellent, lots of tense moments, makes you wonder how it will all turn out. Those moments in the movie are all drawn out with no tension-filled music to hype up the emotion and no exciting camera work or facial expressions from the actors to make you feel entertained. Jack O'Connell seemed to be the only one in real anguish, and George Clooney had some anxiety in the beginning but then after about 10 minutes, all that is forgotten and the movie plays out and is so cheesy I started seeing similarities between it and Hallmark Channel movies. There was a lot of propaganda and preachiness about the stock market as well. Annoying. The amount of language was way over the top. I watched this on Vidangel.com, and all the language was silenced, but that left out seriously 1/3 of what everyone was saying! Ridiculous and unnecessary, boring movie. Just watch the trailer and try to resist the urge to go see the full-length movie.
Great reminder of our nation's history
This film is very well done, interesting. I mainly wanted to post a review to possibly boost this film's rating, because it deserves a higher overall star rating than what I see it has at this time. Dinesh has created a great documentary with lots of reenactments of our history, lots of which I didn't know about. I enjoyed being reminded of a few important points in our nation's history, and learning things I never knew before. I liked the music, and the presentation of many different people and their different points of view. The actors that played out the reenactments were believable, and the details and props, costumes, etc. Helped make this film beautiful. I also liked to hear about other's opinions I may not agree with, he did that in an unbiased and thought-provoking way. I highly recommend this film.
