Don't always believe what the critics say. I have no explanation as to
why some critics gave Little Ashes bad reviews other than it just
wasn't your typical movie and they couldn't understand that.
This movie tells a beautiful and fascinating story (read the synopsis beforehand it helps).
The acting is excellent.
The accents sound/are authentic (when Dali sounds American or French that is done intentionally from what i hear.) oh, and it's an INDEPENDENT FILM! aka it's not necessarily going to be like every other dramatic film out there.
Go into it with an OPEN MIND. If you enjoy the previews you will probably enjoy the movie.
Go see it and form your own opinion. This movie is great but it isn't for everyone.
This movie was a lot better than the second one but it was still far from the first. That can be expected though because sequels usually aren't as good. Going into this movie with an open mind and watching it without comparing it to the first installment, helps you to enjoy it more. It is a little too long unfortunately, but it's still enjoyable. There are not as many jokes as there are in the first two but there are still plenty. There are also plenty of action scenes that look amazing on the big screen. While Jack does not show up until a good ten minutes into the movie, he does make one of his usual strange entrances. Overall it's a good movie and worth seeing.

Nothing can beat the classic Star Wars Trilogy, but this movie came pretty close in my opinion! I thought this was so well done. At the end of the movie i was crying because it was so sad. It made you really feel for the character Darth Vader. The only flaws I saw with it were that Padme died to early because Leia was supposed to have known her for a short while before she died, and that she died of a broken heart. I understand that in order to avoid that though, the movie would have been like another hour. I t might have worked out better if this was split into two movies just so that more could be included but that might have ruined it. I loved this film and saw it four times in theaters.
ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ i barely sat through this movie once but when i had to watch it a second time i simply feel asleep. This movie was a combination of bad acting and bad writing. It is no where near as good as some people say. i don't care how many awards it got. It was such a waste of time. I mean come on, Elijah Wood can't act to save his life, and the guy that played 'Sam' was a good actor in other stuff i saw him in but he was terrible in this. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt though and assume it was the writing. I mean i can get past the cheesiness of Star Wars because I love both the original and the new trilogies but LOTR is ridicules! I know this is just my opinion but i mean you're insane if you honestly thing this movie deserved awards.
I went to see Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest the day it came out and was disappointed. I was expecting better since the first movie blew me away. I felt however that part of the reason I did not like it at that time was that I didn't fully understand it, I was expecting something completely different, and when the movie ended it was 1:30 AM. So I decided to see it again and had a completely different reaction. This film wasn't as good as the first but not many sequels are. POTC 2 had amazing effects, funny dialog, and an overall entertaining story. The only flaws were that there was less interaction between the main characters than there was in the first film. Also, while Davey Jones was an interesting 'villian' Barbossa was a lot more entertaining. All in all the movie was great. I think it would have a more positive reaction from other viewers if it didn't have the other one before it to compete with. If you aren't to impressed the first time you see it, i recommend giving it another shot. I would have given the first POTC a 6 out of 5 stars but i'd give this one a 4.5 out of 5 which if you think about it, is still really good.
Even though Poseidon is a remake of the movie The Poseidon Adventure, it's pretty good. The effects are amazing and the acting was impressive despite the fact that the actors didn't have much to work with as far as back stories. The characters backgrounds were briefly mentioned during the movie but probably went unnoticed by most people. They were great starting ideas for interesting but not yet completed characters. For example, Dylan was a great character but without knowing his back story we have no idea why he acted the way he did. Despite lacking some things, one thing that wasn't lacking was the feeling of excitement you get from watching this movie. It keeps you on the edge of your seat and best of all it gets right into the action. You're never bored. Even with a few flaws this movie is definitely worth seeing. I saw the original and I'm not a fan of remakes but I enjoyed it.
