Along Came Polly (2004)
Now you now whats Ben Stiller comedy ;P
The all-time talented comedy man Ben Stiller along with hit sitcom stars and well talented Jennifer Aniston and Debra Messing give life to this nice and very funny movie.
Ben Stiller is Rouben Feffer a life risk analyst for a life insurance company, a very cautious man who calculates risk in every thing before hand and as expected it adds to comedy. Rouben lives in his own nutshell away from all risks of life. He stays away from subway, never eats nuts from bars, never eats spicy food etc etc. All have serious risk associated according to his professional calculations.
In the beginning of movie, he weds Lisa(Debra Messing). They go to honeymoon where Lisa screws a scuba instructor(Hank Azaria) on the first day of their honeymoon. So Rouben, after seeing them in intimate situation, comes back home. Lisa stays back with scuba instructor.
Back home in a party, he meets Polly Prince(Jennifer Anistion), a waitress and an old schoolmate. Polly is simply opposite of Rouben, a girl who goes to dirty-dancing clubs, who eats nuts in bars and who experiments with things and enjoys life, a girl who lives on the edge. Soon they start going out together, resulting in comical situations.
There are many really hilarious scenes in the movie that make you laugh real well. There is the scene where Rouben uses Polly's bathroom. And when Alec Baldwin talks to Rouben in men's room. Many others.
It had a real nice time watching this movie. A++ to Ben Stiller. I hope more good movies from him in future. Although he declared he is having time-off from movies because of family. But fans can wait.
A nice time pass movie
I have seen this movie on TV3000 2 times and found it a nice movie for killing time. There is nothing exciting about the movie but there is nothing boring either.
Beautiful Colleen McDermott and big bosom Lisa Boyle have done nice performances.
This is a softcore porn movie for light "bed-time" entertainment for adult people. So there is light story and light arousing scenes. Nothing to complain.
And yes, like someone else has commented, I also wish to be in the movie with those sexy girls :)
Tough Luck (2003)
I watched this movie on HBO and I had a good time.
The director has done a great work. I found myself totally absorbed into this movie once it started. Norman Reedus's performance is cool. I expect more chilling movies from him.
I was so absorbed that on occasions I wanted to grab gun from Norman and shoot that snake girl. Hehe. I like the movies when innocent looking girls play tricks with men really cunningly. The ending was what I wanted :))
This movie is filled with twists of moments. You expect this but something else happens.
In the beginning, those massive images cut scenes were really painful to eyes.
Although it was not shown when Norman Reedus changed currency notes? Or is it me standing by fridge. :)
Nice movie based on true story???
Obsessed is a nice movie for a nice evening.
Its mainly he-said/she-said movie because its taken from a true trial case. And like all movies that fit into this class, director has put an extra effort to make the judgement (in real case) look like as if it is truth.
Shouldn't we say 'Based on true trial case' rather than 'Based on true story' because nobody knows the truth except Ellaina and Doctor Stillman themselves. Judgement of court is based on facts and everybody who has seen a real-life trial knows how lawyers and liars bend them easily.
Ellain(Jenna Elfman) is a successful medical writer who is obsessed with a neurosurgeon Dr Stillman. Although this is exposed very slowly till the end.
Ellain is shown to be schizophrenic just because it aids true trial case outcome. Movie could have been excellent, if facts from both sides were given similar treatment by director and he had left decision in hands of viewers.
Not to mention, Jenna's performance is amazing.
One of the dialogues in the movie(may not be accurate): Dr Stillman: "You are amazing." Ellaina: "I like it when you say that word. Say it again."
Jenna you are amazing ;P
