One Six Right (2005)
10/10
Moving, even if you aren't a pilot...
20 September 2005
What did I expect when an airplane fanatic friend talked me into driving from my home just south of San Francisco all the way to Los Angeles just to see a documentary about airplanes? I don't fly and am not very interested in airplanes. I had surely lost my mind and wasn't expecting to enjoy myself.

From the first measure of the opening theme to the last credit on the list of credits, I was enraptured. I was moved to laugh and cry. I sat immobile, engrossed in the stories, the feelings, the mood of the piece. "One Six Right" made me want to fly. I didn't want it to end and would have remained immobile had the projectionist started the film over again right there. I walked into the theater, but I floated out.

Would I drive down to Los Angeles again to see "One Six Right" again? I would. I would encourage others to do so as well.
