Must Love Dogs (2005)
See this movie. Don't believe all the negative comments.
I rarely add a user comment to this database, especially when there are already 23 pages worth. But after reading one review after another, which slam every aspect of the movie, and deride the cast members for appearing in it, I just had to say something.
This movie is humorous, appealing, touching, and funny. The stellar cast is a delight to watch. Diane Lane is one of the sexiest women to ever grace the screen. She radiates sensuality, even in a clean movie such as this one. I can't say enough about the rest of the cast. Christopher Plummer shines as the widowed Irish-American patriarch of a large and loving family, all of whom are busily trying to set-up Ms. Lane's divorcée with a worthy guy. The always-enjoyable John Cusack is a talented boat-building artisan, who hopes to find someone to fill the void left after his wife took off. Have you heard this story before? So what if you have?? Should that stop you from enjoying an entertaining movie such as this? By the way, dogs do have a thematic role in the film, but this flick is a lot of fun, whether or not you are a lover of dogs. See for yourself.
