The Evil Down the Street (2019)
If you're into the horror genre I would definitely check this one out
I didn't come into this expecting much, but I guess I should've watched during the day... while it doesn't deliver a lot of jump cheap scares, the fact that it's based on a true story has me up writing a review with the lights on instead of sleeping. If you're into the horror genre I would definitely check this one out!
The Final Project (2016)
I enjoyed this one
Found footage is getting flooded and watered down. It's hard to find one that's decent anymore. But, I enjoyed this one. The location was perfect and I thought the acting was just what the film called for. Was a fun movie and glad I watched it.
Circumstances (2017)
Great Storytelling
I enjoy movies like this that aren't about the "best" parts of life or just bad days, but people that really are in a low low place and how those people handle it and what they become because of it. Great storytelling. The acting isn't as bad as other people have commented, I thought everyone for the most part were believable and cast well.
Inhumane (2018)
Entertaining
I thought it was entertaining. Not sure why some thought the acting was bad, I thought it was one of the best parts of the movie. Idea was there for the movie but dialogue was...idk. Could've simplified it a bit more, tried to do too much. The drug didn't make sense. But the cinematography, music, and most of the acting was pretty great I thought!
Get Out (2017)
It was okay. Would've been better without all the hype.
The movie was decent. Storyline was original, and the acting was great by most. I didn't leave feeling like I had watched something incredible or that I would really ever need to see it again. But I was glad I watched it once, I suppose. In the very least so I could be part of the worldwide conversation about the movie. It wasn't my favorite but it was far from terrible.
Little Mermaid (2016)
Some like it, some don't.
First, I would like to say that just because you don't like a movie, doesn't mean that everyone else that did is affiliated with the movie in some way or paid. It just means we have different tastes. It's a bit childish to assume that anyone who has a different opinion than you must have been coerced in some way.
I watched this movie with a few of my friends. I had seen the trailers and follow the page on FB so I was well aware of what I was getting into. A low budget indie. I had shown one of the friends watching the first trailer they had and the other hadn't seen anything.
I personally loved the movie. The music was incredible, the acting was genuine (by most) and the movie felt raw to me. A realistic story for an unrealistic circumstance. Boys are mean and dumb, and girls can be catty and vindictive. She experienced all of these real relationships that we all experience every day, and a lot of movies don't have that. This wasn't a fairy tale type love-y dove-y movie. In parts it was, but it was more than that.
My other two friends were "meh" about the movie. So I understand how some people liked it. Filmmaking was lacking in some areas. But obviously from their credits on here, they're new filmmakers. I look forward to what comes next.
