An Interesting Attempt
I just finished watching the Fox TV version of Rocky Horror Picture Show. They had it online, so I figured why not. It's interesting. The Tim Curry version from the '70s is definitely much better! Also, Dr. Frank-N-Furter is a transvestite, a man in women's clothing. In this TV version, it's a transgendered woman in women's clothing. Not the same. But then again, there is humor behind that, using someone who used to be a man playing a transvestite. If only they had covered up her cleavage. I remember reading a rumor online years ago that Marilyn Manson was being considered for that role. It's Fox TV, so it's understandable why they went with Cox. Someone online said that it was like a Glee version, and I agree. It definitely had a high school musical feel. But something I like about it, is that we saw audience participation. It's kind of like we were watching people watching RHPS. There was also some minor funny bits that they added that made me chuckle.
Haters Back Off! (2016)
Great first episode!
I just saw the first episode. I was cracking up at all the sexual innuendos! The fish store scene was kind of odd and felt like it was unnecessary, but it worked out later.
I started watching Miranda Sings on YouTube in, I think, 2010. It was her Glee audition. It's great to see her get this far!
I'll give that first episode 4 out of 5 stars!
My review is supposed to be at least 10 lines of text, so here you go!... IMDb is smarter than I think! I tried to put "so" "here" "you" and "go!" on separate lines.
It'll be interesting to see how this plays out. I just hope they don't try to keep playing this out until it gets dry and boring, stretching it out just 'cause they can.
Game Change (2012)
This film made me root for Palin!
This film made me feel bad for Palin. It made me start rooting for her, up until she started going rogue by doing things the way she wanted to do them. I really liked this film. It showed what went on during the campaign, with the McCain team getting frustrated with Palin, and Palin getting frustrated at the McCain team. The film also showed actual news footage covering the 2008 presidential election.
Julianne Moore was a perfect choice to portray Sarah Palin! Her resemblance of Palin was near- perfect! The writing was great, too! If a movie can make me root for the bad guy, Sarah Palin, then the writer has done one heck of a job!
It's scary to think that this was real life, to an extent, four years ago!
