Toast of London (2012–2020)

Greatest comedy ever?
1 April 2016
This needs a series 4 this year. It really does. I first saw Matt Berry on the house of fools show, and saw him in the BAFTA's for this show.

Now, the absolute brilliance of this show. ALL of the characters fit in perfectly. What I think I like about this show is that the entire cast consists of secondary characters, all made to revolve around the single main character: Steven Toast.

It seems that the true comedy from Toast comes from his reaction to all the manic events around him.

For example, in certain scenes, Steven Toast wouldn't be half as funny if the secondary characters were replaced.

I think it is just the way Steven Toast deals with things with his incredibly out of place and eccentric personality makes it all the better. He treats it almost as if it is just normal. And his unpredictability always takes you by surprise, and always gets you laughing.

Great series, awful ending

Warning: Spoilers
Well, I loved this series at its first 4 episodes, but the 5th one just ruined it for me. This rating would be an undoubted ten out of ten. The first episode was very great, there was a good scene setting, set Ivy as a very mysterious character, then it had the twist of Phoebe getting kidnapped. Episode 2 was fairly boring, not really too much plot to it, but at least it was left on a cliffhanger. Episode 3 was my favorite, very dark, very mysterious and very shocking when Dylan's body is found in the house. Episode 4 was also very good, with the arrest of Ivy and her potentially not being the victim. And then 5... A pretty dramatic start with the kidnapping of Ivy and the saving of Pheobe. However, the scene at the shopping center was PATHETIC and bath scene was just plain confusing. And the ending had NO twist at all! She just ran away!

Anyone rating 10 as a joke, it isn't funny. Either is this cool cat.

Warning: Spoilers
I don't worry, there aren't too many spoilers. There needs to be a plot to spool in the 1st place, and this film has no plot at all. It is just a stupid furry with the most annoying voice possible.

First of all, it is really low quality. I mean seriously bad. In the some scene, you can see the shadow of the cameraman, followed by his reflection. I am not a film expert, but even I know that is awful.

It is also quite obvious that Cool Cat is a pedophile, absolutely damn obvious. Some quotes to support my idea are "I love all kids!" and "I love all babies!". I mean, if this doesn't just SCREAM pedophile, then I don't really know what does. This would have been innocent if he had just said " I love everyone!". And then again, that is so cringe.

Then comes the "message" this film is meant to get across to kids, what is on how to deal with bullying over text message and a weird blond kid with a gun... Anyway, the Cool Cat response to the stupidly cliché, stereotype bully is to just flap out and message him back some rubbish. That is not going to work at all! The message is to kids is "don't block bullies... Just provoke them instead". Great message

Just a few more notes about the maker, good old "daddy" Derek Savage, this guy does not understand how kids work. Seriously. He thinks they are all stupid and over the top, and use words like "groovy". There was also the awkward scene of him just showing off his Van Halen guitar. Anyway, pretty sure I missed out some stuff, but that is all I have to say, for now. In conclusion: screw this film.
