Supergirl may have started roughly but as the weeks go on, the show really starts to find its footing. It is a light hearted show with great actors. At times, the writing can get a little clunky but Melissa Benoist, Chyler Leigh, Calista Flockhart, and Laura Benanti really bring a lot to it and many times show more through their acting than words. The female relationships on the show are incredibly important and worth following as the show develops. Calista Flockhart is truly a gem that brings levity to every scene she's in while also portraying a complex women with a checked past that wants to help her protégé learn and grow. I would highly recommend this show to anyone who was looking for a fun, family friendly, superhero drama
