X Files usually does great comedy episodes, they're subtle and charming. And we see Mulder and Scully really enjoying themselves. This was a disaster.
I know there are no intelligent supporting characters in this one but even after they see the doppelgangers both in the same place at the same time they seem to go back to NPC status straight after. If a 4 year old saw 2 women who looked the same they'd just assume 'twins'. You could argue they have some brain fog in the fighting that transpires, but it's too much of a reach. The wrestler especially seems completely incurious about what the hell is happening.
