Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice (2017)
Not just a game. A heart wrenching tale worthy of praise
This game is so much more than that. A project so well executed, that it honestly can only be experienced once. I can't bring myself to play this again, simply because of how much the story hurts, mentally, emotionally etc. It is so well done that I can't even begin to express it the way I want to.
Disclaimer: make sure you are in a good mental state when you play this game. It is a hard experience if you're not.
The Batman (2022)
THE BATMAN
This. Is the Batman movie I've waited my whole life for. Finally a detective. FINALLY. That's all I have to say. Good actor chemistry. Good coherent storyline. Gritty Gotham. Great adaptation of the comics it's inspired by. LOVE IT and would love more.
Star Trek: Picard (2020)
Star Trek The Next Generation Part 2
This is such an underrated part of the canon right now. I think too many of the Disco haters felt they needed to continue with their "New Trek is bad Trek" Bologna so what is arguably some very enjoyable Trek is rated lower than it should be.
But what do I know. I like DS9 and Enterprise lol.
Only thing I would have done differently is casting Alison Pill. I probably wouldn't have. But that's just cause I don't care for the actress all that much.
Star Trek: The Next Generation: The Chase (1993)
One of the most slept on episodes.
One of the most important Trek lore episodes that didn't/doesn't get the attention it deserved. I would love to see more of the "progenitor species". Find out more of what lead them to plant the "Space Seeds" if you will. Pardon the reference.
What If...?: What If... Captain Carter Were the First Avenger? (2021)
Not a bad start!
Everyone saying that this episode was badly paced obviously doesn't realize that they just fit the entirety of the story of the first avenger into a half hour episode. So of course it felt like it was a little rushed. That's kind of the point. It's not supposed to be a full story it's supposed to be a different version of a story we already know. So for what it is meant to be I think it was really good.
The Orville: About a Girl (2017)
Only girl in town.
I'll keep this short and simple. I'm a HUGE Trekkie. Always have been. And THIS is one of the most Trek episodes of anything that isn't Trek. It feels like TNG's Measure of a Man which is arguably one of the best of Trek. This is an IMPORTANT piece of media in today's world.
Star Trek: Deep Space Nine: In the Pale Moonlight (1998)
THE Sisko
People that don't like Avery Brooks for god knows what reason need to rewatch this episode. It's possibly my favorite Trek Episode and is definitely my favorite DS9 episode, (along with Far Beyond the Stars). Watch. This. Episode. Again and Again and Again.
