Crap - to the Nth degree
OK well, there's not much i can say that hasn't already been posted. i'll not go into detail about all the obvious goofs and down right mistakes! i think everyone feels this film is a big let down in regards to the other films in the series, and i feel the same. i think it's how you feel no emotional connection to the characters, they're just there and gone. do big dramatic, emotional ending to the terminator, it just blows up and the film continues on. and another downfall, which i think was one of the biggest blunders of the film - the TX, an extremely advanced "female" terminator. first of all, a female terminator, nobody wants to see a female terminator being more advanced and stronger than arnie as the t-800. i mean, if this was all real life, i would say the T-1000 was a much deadlier enemy and could take down the TX (who seems rather stupid) no problem. but back to reality. i remember reading about this TX before the film was released and how it could reprogram other terminators and i was thinking, this is a great idea. but what became of it?- the TX reprogrammed the t-800 (which you didn't even see) and it came to get john with a very odd painful expression on its face, but ended up bashing that car to bits - WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT! i don't understand that bit, was it just trying to bash that car until his system was back to normal?? but i think the biggest mistake in this film (for me anyway) the part which when i saw it made some vomit actually come up into my throat was when in the convenience store he actually said - "TALK TO THE HAND" to the clerk. what the sh1t was that all about?! the terminator turns round and shoots the guy, thats whats meant to happen! or at least throws him or somethin! but i suppose that started when he was in the gay bar and he grabbed the guys hand and spoke to it. no bloody start to the film, like the other ones. sadly this is just a basic action film, with no depth. the only good part was the ending. i wont say stay away from it because I'm sure anyone who has seen the first two films will certainly have already seen this. so i'll end this by saying, this film only ralates to the other 2 films by name and by nothing else. i'm giving it 5/10. simply because for an action film it was alright.
p.s. does anyone think Paul Verhoeven would direct a good Terminator??
Father Ted (1995)
As everyone has said in the previous comments, Father Ted is a truly Genius piece of Irish/British comedy. not one other show i have seen i am able to say i love every single episode of! it blends all types of comedy together - satire, surrealism and just plain buffoonery! Dermot Morgan is perfect as FATHER TED - a priest who is stuck on a backward island in the middle of nowhere with a childish/thick priest and a drunk priest and a crazy house maid. and he really deep down couldn't give a toss about catholicism, as he imagines rolling in cash in las Vegas and quickly jumped at the chance to get with a woman (and god created woman). i'd say a lot of the world has yet to experience Father Ted. all i can say is that it'll be an experience you'll never forget! the funniest most amazing show i have ever seen
quote - "A Christmassy Ted"
Dougal "whats going on?"
Priest "Father Ted has come up with a plan"
Dougal "No, i mean in general"
