Jaded and rehashed.
4 September 2022
This is two hours and twenty seven minutes you won't get back in your life. The actors must have cringed just reading the screen play but obviously needed the dollars to go ahead with acting in this jaded and rehashed tripe. This franchise has been sliding down a steep slope after the original Jurassic Park movie. The plot holes are many and vast. The acting laughable. The action set pieces unoriginal and tedious. Sat down to watch this during Father's Day lunch and the only saving grace was that we all had a laugh at the ludicrity of it all. Hopefully, this is the end of this franchise. They have milked all they could have from this particular cowasaurus.

Enjoyable

Really enjoyed watching this series. The chemistry between the two main actors, Tom Burke and Holliday Grainger is a joy to behold. You could almost forget that they are playing a part. Have read the books and the television series is a bit different from the books but it doesn't make too much of a difference. The show is just so much fun that it would be a shame to find fault with the difference between the books and the television series. Hopefully there will be many more seasons to come. Normally, I would first read the book before watching the screen adaptation but in this case, I went the other way around. Most sidekicks in detective shows are there just for filler but not in this series. If you don't find this series enjoyable, you are an extremely difficult person to please.

Ten episodes that could have been done in six.

Just finished watching this series. The premise was interesting but the story should have been trimmed. It should never have taken ten episodes to tell. Would have been a much more entertaining show had it been shown in around six episodes. The idea wasn't a new one, yet it could have been much more interesting had it not been stretched so far. A lot of obvious plot holes. Bryan Cranston and Michael Stuhlbarg were the highlights in the acting department. We watched the first three episodes over four weeks ago. Yet it took us this long to want to get through it! A feeling of relief that we finally finished with it.

Mind numbing

Browsing through movies at my local JbHiFi store I came across this movie. Having read a decent review about it in the Empire magazine I purchased it. Cate Blanchett, Eric Bana and Saoirse Ronan. What could go wrong? Correct? Pretty much everything in 106 minutes of sheer torture. Haphazard direction of an incoherent plot/storyline just ensured that this cinematic offering was not going to appease the masses. Unless you were a lemming. To rate this movie higher than the 1 that I gave it would be a travesty. You can see a germ of an idea that the writers Seth Lochhead and David Farr are trying hard to plait together but the finished product just does not gel. I have watched a lot of movies and this is the first time I felt compelled to be so critical about one. It actually made me take the time to create an id to login and review it.
