What could have been? Wonderful job by Mr. Stanley!

Warning: Spoilers
Think "Boiler Room" meets "Blair Witch". Not a bad idea and fun to watch but falls short and forces the audience to suspend common sense. Too much time spent on the problems faced by the people involved and in the end, it just,.... ends, no real wrap up. However, I was drawn in and was captivated by the idea presented by the main character. Well worth the money to see Mike Stanley. In the end, I was satisfied enough to send a few friends to it. Overview of the movie....

Think of the easiest way to make money that does not involve a weapon or a plot to take over the world, and it's still more complicated then the money making scheme presented in this movie. Of course it starts out smelling like roses for everyone. However, when you cut out the middle man in your pyramid scheme and go straight to collecting money to the tune of $10,000 per new person brought in, people will lose their mind in collecting their cut faster then you will go postal at your local DMV. Problem is these people go postal in the matter of a few meetings (movie is broken up in number of meetings, trust me, will make sense when you see the movie). Just seems a little too fast based on the plan provided. People are brought in and drop out pretty fast. Most people can use their common sense to fill in the holes and gaps in the movie, but your so drawn in by what is going on, you don't want to use your mind, you want to see it go down! Oh well. In the end the whole thing blows up. Lives are threaten, hearts are broken, and Mike Stanley gives his all in a late push to earn himself an Oscar for this year.

So quick overview. Take a simplified version of "Boiler Room", give it to a college student, and shoot the movie "Blair Witch" style, add in a ton of the best women California has to offer, and you have a six star out of ten star movie.
