The Musketeers: Death of a Hero (2016)
This is a review by a human.
This episode is a testament to what these actors can do with a great script - brilliant performances all around (most notably Ryan Gage imo) and fun to watch!!
I had to check to make sure this wasn't the finale episode. Not only was I entertained, the story stirred in me emotion and provoked inward thought and reflection. This episode contains multiple one-on-one scenes between actors, providing an intimate insight into so many of the characters, I'm not even sure I could pick a favorite!
Although the action sequences are nearly an afterthought when compared with the aforementioned character scenes, they are still some of the best in the series!
Thanks very much, BBC.
Don't Look Up (2021)
Wonderfully sad
Not at all a subtle attempt at satire but rather an in-your-face, over-the-top jab at what (specifically American) society has become. I laughed and I cried and I rolled my eyes all in one smooth motion throughout the entire film because of how absolutely true it rang to me.
This movie is sure to offend anyone who is seeking nothing more than an entertainment fix and doesn't wish to take a hard, introspective look at themselves and the role they play in the destruction of humanity and the earth itself. Did the director and producers need to cast an Oscar winning lineup of actors to deliver this message? Certainly not - but by doing so I believe they captured the attention of a much larger audience. Sadly, based on a lot of the reviews I've read, it seems the message was lost on many.
I absolutely loved this movie and my takeaway was this: No matter our personal politics, religious beliefs, sense of humor or ANYTHING that serves to individualize us, all creatures of the earth are brothers and sisters and cousins and family, and that we should all have a common goal - to better ourselves for the edification of the world rather than selfishly feed the greed and hubris that threatens to destroy us all.

Wonderful
Nearly every evening before bed, I close out my day by watching an episode of TNG or DS9, depending on the series I'm currently on;
and, my night is capped by falling asleep to an episode of TOS. I finished watching this episode for the first time in a while and very much enjoyed it.
Early on I thought this would be an episode I was going to doze to, but found myself attentive and focused on a few takeaways that stood out to me. The pacing of the show trotted along in a perfectly leisurely manner, allowing the story to unfold with wonderful one-on-one scenes between many of the characters. I rolled my eyes more than once during the time filling side story, but understand the relevance it held during the sitcom era.
As the Bajoran elections are more interesting to me than our current climate, it was fun to get a behind the scenes glimpse at what politics might be like on a world and within a way of life other than our own. Overall a thoroughly enjoyable episode.
Lovesick (2014)
Not bad
A lot of other comments have given this show a bad review while specifying that they have only watched the first episode. After the first episode I was also on the fence, but having watched the first 5 episodes I understand and appreciate the direction this show is going. The characters are developed, the plot is relatable and funny, and the style of the show (ie, flashbacks to partners) is very well done. I would challenge viewers to watch more than just the first episode in order to truly appreciate this one. It's by no means on par with Arrested Development, but that is hard to accomplish with a comedy. However, I do think it is much better written and acted than most of the 'comedies' on network TV - in that the acting and humor feel raw and real.
