The Woman (I) (2011)
7/10
Weird but still somehow good
23 March 2015
First I have to say: I love horror movies, any kinds of them, boring ones, quite funny ones, scary ones, bloody ones. When I got this movie, I only saw the cover (and the low price) and I thought I will give it a try. In the beginning the family creeped me out even more than the woman, then the woman got creepier and after a while everything gets weirder and weirder. After watching it I first thought I will never think and speak of that movie again. Yet, I recommended it to some friends who also like horror movies and I have to say, I would watch it again some day. It was something different compared to other horror movies I have seen and the weird story is quite good.

Fell asleep
23 March 2015
After hearing so much about it and only knowing people who have seen the movie at least once, I finally decided to get and watch it. I like watching old horror movies but in this case, it was torture for me. The movie took forever and the story was strange and sometimes made no sense. After a long time watching, it was suddenly over and I was confused why it stopped so promptly. Then I realized that the DVD had 2 sides, so I still had to watch the other half which was again as long as the first half. I fell asleep in between as the story did not become any more interesting. My mum said that movie creeped her out so much, maybe the younger generation is used to harder movies and that is why it felt so boring to me.

Fantastic and funny show to brighten sad days
23 March 2015
This show is the funniest and best sitcom that I have ever seen. The jokes and plots are written perfectly and even in 2015 it doesn't get old and still is as funny as it has always been. The actors were perfectly picked and you get one of each: Ross, the well educated professor and divorce "addict", Rachel, daddy's girl that is not used to work hard for her money, Monica, the super-organized cleaning freak, Chandler, the shy guy that makes jokes when he is uncomfortable, Joey, the handsome actor that already has slept with every hot girl in NY at least once and Phoebe, the weirdo who surprises us with another crazy story from her past in almost every episode. I have to admit that I do not like the show in German, as the synchronization is just the worst and the jokes are not at all funny and are translated totally different than the originals. I have already watched the show in English at young age, so I got used to it quickly.

Lucy (I) (2014)

What a great movie
23 March 2015
One of the greatest movies I have seen in the recent past! The storyline is just epic and you will see 89 packed with action!

The movie makers' idea of inventing this new drug that gives Lucy special skills is just brilliant. Total different plot and background than in all these "general" Science-Fiction movies, which I am not a big fan of.

Scarlett Johansson is perfect for the role of Lucy and I can really recommend watching that movie to anyone that wants to see something new after watching thousands of movies about superheroes, aliens and spaceships.

The Tribe (1999–2003)
9/10
After years still one of my favorite TV shows!
23 March 2015
Warning: Spoilers
I have been watching The Tribe on TV since it first aired in 1999. During this time I was at the same age which also the actors were supposed to be at in the first season. That was just fitting perfect. Now, more than 15 years later, I am still watching my precious The Tribe DVDs every half year. I have to rate 9 out of 10 as I do not like some parts of the story which even become annoying in my eyes after a while. Best example would be the chosen taking over the city in season 3. It takes almost the whole season to fight and beat them, which is also kind of illogic compared to the seasons before or even after where the Mall Rats fought other tribes for a few episodes and then everything was over or settled. Also the constant dying and disappearing of characters causes too many changes in cast, which was of course mostly effected by actors having to quit the show because of school. The fifth and last season has an open ending as season six was meant to continue shorty after. However the filming of season six was not supported by the sponsors anymore as they said the show was not for kids anymore. I think that is quite sad as the audience grew together with the cast.

Bloody Family Horror
23 March 2015
At first I thought the movie was kind of boring, then it finally got interesting. I just like watching movies, where you try to figure out by yourself who the bad person is and then you are wrong! Great turn of events and a surprisingly strong "main" character. The actors are really good. I did not know any of them and they all surprised me with their good performance. Good choice of music, I cannot get the title song out of my head. I would rate it an 8 out of 10 as the beginning is quite boring and the family scenes are a bit annoying until the first death. Anyway, I can warmly recommend the movie to any horror fan as it is a must-see.
