I cried

What a great movie. I had no problem keeping up with the plot. A real heart clutcher indeed. I thought the characters were well played. Well worth your time!

An excellent depiction of our country's love and tragic misuse of dogs.

My self and 2 of my young sons were bitten/attacked at different times in our lives by large dogs. My 2 sons required surgery and extensive repair later on too. One son had his ear ripped off too and needed cosmetic surgery. That being said, I have 4 rescue dogs. But I know dogs are dogs. No matter how mellow and well mannered a dog is they can and will still bite. The difference is a small dog, small bites and a large dogs, large bites. One was attacked by an adult Rottweiler and the other by an adult Doberman. I always monitor my dogs around other people. Always. Even though I love them and will be devastated when they die, I still choose to be a forever home 4 large rescue dogs. They are beautiful sweet dogs with gentle dispositions. But the unpredictably is always at the forefront of my mindÿ

I hope you walk in sunshine the rest of the days of your lives. May you one day hold your son again.

So raw!
8 August 2018
I have spent my career seeing the end stages of ALS patients. Setting them up so they would be comfortable at home. Taking care of them in the hospital. I think ALS and Myasthenia Gravis are 2 of the scariest syndrome/diseases to have. There are a lot more scary ones that don't make it to adulthood. This documentary was raw and gritty. And was not wrapped up in a bow. The fears, insecurities, relationship issues of the spouse as the caregiver etc... I cried. Steve Gleason has given the world a hard look at debilitating neurological diseases. May God bless him and his family. I sincerely believe there is no real lesson in suffering and dying a lingering death. Or in dying young. I believe this family made a difference. With grace and dignity.
