I was really looking forward to this series. I like IJWTBC on YouTube. I also like the production company behind this show. So what happened? Why did it turn so Luke warm?

Option one: They toned down their ideas, playing it safer for television.

Option two: The ideas they had were not that great. Sure, there are some nuggets here and there, but it is very bland.

Option three: Exploiting Youtubers was too sweet a temptation for some exec with a check.

All of the above is probably true.

This show is watchable, but only just. IJWTBC, I expect more from you!

This Makes My Brain Happy
5 January 2017
Just finished watching season two. Very satisfied.

I am a huge fan of language based jokes and word-play, also fast patter that flies so high that I almost miss the many gems. This show will keep you alert, if you are into those things. But there is much more; elaborate story lines, deep thoughts - and a bit of dick and farts. I'm so in!

Inspired writing, perfect casting, an original idea - and then some! You feel like you are invited into this small Canadian town, and you feel at home. I want to get to know these people!

I just want to recommend this series to anybody who likes intelligent comedy. I feel like this should be the next Sunny or Workaholics, it is as good for sure!

Check it out! This is top shelf!

Interesting Role Reversal

What a great show!

The intriguing writing is complimented by visually interesting direction. strong images, good camera work and an eerie musical score. Not to mention very natural acting. We have strong women more messed up than their slightly more sensitive men, we have a young gay man way stronger than his closeted, popular "friend".

Refreshing to see the male/female relationship in a new light.

And there is a lot of horrible murder!

It's a great Whodunnit as well! Damn, you must check it out!

I wish this show a strong following and many more years on air!

Happily Surprised - BOSCH!

I constantly search the internet for good comedy shows, because I love to laugh or at least be amused by television, which means I am living in state of likely disappointment. When I find something decent I want other people to know about it.

I will not go as far as calling this show brilliant, but after the two first episodes I have a fuzzy, warm feeling of anticipation about what is to come. I am probably not the right demographic, but, hey, I was partying in the 90s, and there are some references to those days. In fact, it might as well have been set in the 90s - minus smart phones.

The cast really works, the writing is even better, and the production will have no complaints from me. I have not seen this particular twist before, so full points on originality.

I recommend this show to anybody who likes their comedy a bit bent out of shape!

Louis - Mon amour!

Yet another fantastic TV-series that makes me want to learn more about history. I thank the creators of this for making me more curious about what really happened. Very beautiful and well acted.

I have binge-watched this twice in three days, so I think I can offer my opinion. It is very good TV!

Blagden and Vlahos perform excellently; the plot is very much about two brothers, a new and fresh angle of the Sun King I haven't seen before. It is also about building a home, a palace, and also about building a country.

I doubt a proper historian would approve, but I don't mind. This is good TV and I like it a lot.

Since I already googled the crap out of Monsieur Philippe d'Orléans, I guess I have made my point. This made me learn a bit more about this era, and also see how it influences the oligarchy in our present time.

Very well crafted entertainment - I recommend you watch it at least twice. That way you will get to know the characters better. Season two? Can't wait!

Underrated as F**K!

Why have I never heard of this film? This is stupid! I'm sort of a gay film buff right now, since I'm researching a novel - and I only recently came across this gem. I'm laughing out loud at almost every scene - this film is fantastic! In your face and subtle at the same time, attention to detail and a clean write.

Why was this not the next Birdcage? This is so hilarious! People are missing out! Fire some executive, goddamn it!

Sharp and sensitive writing, and playful directing, inspired acting and very, very good music. Clever, silly, sensual, serious, gross - all my fave ingredients!

What went wrong? Somebody should be kicking themselves in the balls for not pushing this film harder.

Thank you for creating this beautiful comedy and funny drama! My kind of thing. I offer my creative embrace, but it feels it's too little.

Weirdly Addictive
14 January 2015
I'm a sucker for comedy, since laughing is one of the perks of life. So I decided to check this show out - new series, I didn't get my hopes up too high. The first episode had me more puzzled than smiling. With the second episode I started to get it, and I laughed out loud at tiny bits of detail that were so hilarious.

The humor is crispy and dry, clever and understated. I was thinking Party Down and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, not because these shows are similar, just the opposite, they stand apart from the rest. Originality is a fine thing you sometimes have to get to know before you embrace it.

The father and son team - creators, actors, characters - are funny just flexing their massive eyebrows. But they are not everything; the whole weird idea and well chosen cast are wonderfully put together.

I like this one, I hope it will grow, it sure as hell has potential:-)
