The Uncut & Extended DVD Edition Review
17 December 2016
The TV version of the film is 88 minutes and the extended DVD version is 93 minutes. Watching the commercial free and uncut version feels more of a proper movie. The first time viewing with commercials feels like watching music videos back to back that somehow made up a story. On the DVD you get to see the transitions between scene that were cut the TV. Such as Brad & Janet entering the hall and Brad saying "Looks like a hunting lodge for rich weirdos." and the elevator scene where Janet asks Colombia "So is Frank your husband?". Small scenes such as those do add character and perspective to the film. Casting in the movie is fine. I was very skeptical at first then began to warm up to them. Lavern Cox does a fine job as Frank. In the uncut version of the film there is a small conversation about Frank's gender that I wish was on the TV version. Lots of people complained about racial swapping certain characters but it doesn't effect the movie. Special Features on the DVD are okay. Their is a Making Of Feature, Comic-Con Panel, Lavern Cox Audition Video, and Photo Gallery. The making of Special Feature is a 9 minute summary of the actors. directors, and some sneak peaks behind the scenes nothing too fancy. The 30 minute Comic Con 2016 panel is a great. It gives insight on the directors and actors options while making movie. Lavern Cox audition video is meh not going to go into it. And the photo gallery is okay if you like seeing promotional photos and costume shots. No director commentary is on the DVD which is a shame. Having commentary might of answered some question that some Rocky Fans would of liked an answer to. Overall: It's a very good remaking of the cult classic that could never live up to the original. It was made to appeal to a millennial audience and people who don't go to midnight movies in theaters. Grade: C+

Mega64: Gamer Warz (2008– )

Get Comfy this Might Drag-On
14 December 2016
Since the beginning of mankind has been driven towards WAR. No matter the battlefield people have been fighting over who or what is the superior. Now in the 21st century war have moved to the digital realm were no one is safe. This film chronicles the secret origin of the GAMER WARZ started by three young boyz Rocco, Derrick, and Tommy. Based on the true story on how one fight among friends will lead to betrayal. Every episode will lead the viewer wanting more, more, and more answers on simply how was this movie made. Because the editing and writing of the GAMER WARZ is bizarre yet fun to watch fiasco. With the movie's high budget it's a surprise how mediocre the actors are. However the visual effects are fantastic. Who am i to judge someone else's artistic vision. Overall it's just an okay movie. Award winning video game composer and Guinness World Records holder Tommy Tallarico is in it so it's worth checking it out just for that.

Uno: The Movie (2016 Video)

Could Not Look Away

I really enjoyed the movie from beginning to end. The editing is perfect and actors do a spot on performance. It takes balls for a movie to do UNO: The movie does. Only thing I disliked is the lack of locations used. But everything was well lit.Overall I think the plot is solid and premise to be very original this hardcore movie viewer. Would recommend to friends, family, and kids (14+) of all ages. BONUS: Stay around for the end credits of the movie. It's no Marvel 15 seconds of footage extra. The credits could be it's own short film but let's not go too crazy. Rumor has it that actor Geoff "Lazer" Ramsey is going to star in 4 new films in 2017.

Tusk (I) (2014)
7/10
Comedy + Horror = Weird
27 September 2014
The main plot is about a guy named Wallis who goes to Canada for an interview for his podcast. While in Canada Wallis meets Howard do to a flier advertisement for free vacancy at Howard's home. The flier mentions how Howard wants to tell his many adventures which is what grabs Wallis's attention. Wallis is then kidnapped by Howard and has to escape for survival or suffer being sewn into a walrus suit.

Director Kevin Smith is know for his weed smoking comedy movies and a hand of other movies. Kevin's comedy in Tusk is subtle and some of the jokes are inside joke from his SMODCAST podcast recorded show. The jokes are only funny on a certain perspective. To be fair it's goal is to creepy and if it's funny to you that include as a bonus. What the movie does well in is making the audience feel like the main character Wallis. Scenes have a feeling of being bazaar, creepy, and out of place. Unlike most modern horror movies Tusk isn't an extremely gross movie which is a good thing. Also the movie doesn't move around much at all and adds more drama to the film. The movie is weird and the concept is very different and I recommend that you check it out for only those two reasons.
