With Love, Christmas (2017)
I really liked the main character. She was flawless. Of course we have the little kid who is around too much. Only turn off that should have been real was that fake cotton snowball snowman outside. Get a real one! Loved the cat too. Enjoying most of the new Hallmark movies this season and am also enjoying many of the old ones. Oh yeah, do all blondes have dyed blonde hair with dark brown roots these days?
See You in September (2010)
Funny and quirky
I just enjoyed this silly movie. I thought it was quirky. Most of the characters were funny and AJ was my favorite. The way he described his mother. LOL I loved the opening song at the beginning, haven't been able to find out any information on it. But it's more of a light comedy, go ahead and watch it if you are looking for something not really deep.
Campfire Kiss (2017)
Loved the scenery. Not the female lead. She always looks so sad and pouty. She came across as not very likable. Liked the male lead and the kids were fine. Not my favorite, not the worst I've seen. Would love to see more movies with Alicia Witt.I also would love to see some Christmas movies during the summer.
Family for Christmas (2015)
Has to be my least favorite Hallmark movie ever. The best thing about this movie is that Candace Cameron Bure wasn't in it. So tired of seeing her in so many Hallmark movies, I can't keep her characters straight. But back to this movie, talk about an husband who doesn't support his wife. Didn't see any chemistry between husband and wife. Kids were cute enough. Would have liked to see a bigger supporting cast, friends that were fun to be around. I would love to see more movies with Alicia Witt in them. Someone mentioned having a Hallmark Christmas movie channel and I'd love that. And does everyone have to have 10 lines in their reviews? I've see many reviews with a lot less.
The Makeover (2013)
Waste of time
I really think this movie is a huge waste of time. Julia was so unlikable in this movie. I kept waiting for her character to redeem herself, to grow, to have some likability but it never happened. There was no chemistry between any of the characters. I hate the way they lied to Elliott in the beginning. I think someone as ambitious as Julia's character was, she would do a little transforming and run for office again. The mom was way over the top. I loved the location though, Boston looks like a wonderful town. The sister was funny. She was the best part of the movie. Make earrings out of your kidneys. LOL So we have the trademark kiss at the end. Even that didn't feel right. Reminded me of the Al and Tipper Gore kiss on stage. We know how THAT story ended. This movie just missed the mark. Sorry.
Hungry Girl (2011)
This show is absolutely awful. From the cheesy bright colored set, the horrible colorful props, the horrible acting by Lisa. It's no surprise since her husband works for Nickelodeon, the TV station for kids. I think she wanted to be an actress in another life so she does those cheesy skits before the show starts. Then there are the nasty chemically laden recipes. No wonder she is so hungry all the time. So glad her show wasn't renewed. It was a big joke from the very beginning. She also has really stupid names for the things she cooks. Fettuccine Girlfredo? Really????? Fat free this, fat free that. Fat free is now being proved to be worse than all or low fat foods. I think she is finally catching on as she keeps trying to use different foods in her recipes now.
Good Witch (2015)
Agree with so many of the message board comments. Jake's death needed to be dealt with more. Bailey, ugh. Don't get me started. Can't buy her as a serious actress. One of her first scenes had me cringing. How do I look, oh my hair, my outfit etc. Stupid. Then we have the Justin Bieber look alike. The "bad boy". Have to have one of those in the movie of course. Then the mayor wants to dig up information illegally about the doctor. THEN there is the doctor himself. Just doesn't fit in with the whole storyline and cast. Why does he have full custody of his son? I missed that part. Then no one knows that Brandon was going to the police academy? Oh and he is having marriage problems of course. I hope Derek gets more of a storyline.
Perfect Plan (2010)
There were so many dumb characters and moves in this movie. The woman sees Rebecca in the Chinese diner and instead of calling the cops, she chases her down in her car. Then almost dies in an accident. This happened a few times when the cops should have been called. Then the guy found the pool hose in the garage where the grounds keeper died. I can't believe the cops didn't wonder where it came from. They considered it a suicide with hardly an investigation. These women seemed intelligent but made moves that were so darn stupid. Don't they use certified funds these days when closing on real estate deals? At times, I thought I was watching a parody of all the other "dumb women" movies.
The Good Witch's Family (2011)
Enjoyed it but not my favorite
I enjoyed this one, not as much as the others but still good for a lazy night inside. The worst thing was the creepy boyfriend, was he supposed to be like one of the Twilight guys, he looked the part. Can't believe the daughter would be so gullible. Didn't like that storyline. I didn't think Jake looked any chubbier. Martha was funny as usual. So no doubt Cassie will end up pregnant, we will then see if she has a little "Tabitha" and have her mother's powers. Will re-watch the other shows today. Good series. I think the mayor was so full of beans. Was hoping they would really break up and find new partners but this IS a Hallmark show.
Ambulance Girl (2005)
not so good
I thought the first half was OK, but then it went downhill. Would someone like her really get accepted to be an EMT? After the stupid antics she displayed , bashing around the dummy, dropping the guy in the chair on the stairs? Her husband was cold and uncaring and so jealous, didn't like his character at all. When she went on her first call and banged the old lady on the floor, just wasn't that funny. I think Kathy did what she could with this role though. She's a great actress. I didn't think the old guy added too much to the film either. Did we find out if he died? I did think it was nice when she got the secretary position. But yeah, I would have liked to see her kick her hubby out to the curb.
