13 Seconds (2003 Video)
A fine, plot driven modern horror.

13 Seconds is an intelligently written, atmospheric horror yarn that's a very welcome break from the constant onslaught of re-makes and teen horror flicks. I've got a lot of respect for independent film makers who are trying to give us fans the movies that we so often deprived of by the mainstream. The story is set in a rambling turn of the century academy where the there are some nice, original set pieces including a gallery where the paintings have a life of their own.13 Seconds is a plot driven chiller that keeps you guessing all the way to the marvellous, unpredictable ending. If you're not used to independent films, try it out and stick with it, I think you'll find it very rewarding. I'd certainly recommend this film, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
