A genuine horror for it's time
15 November 2022
Cannibal Lake is directed by Louisa Warren (Tooth Fairy 1,2, The Viking War, Pagan Warrior) and written by Charley McDougall which holds such a diverse range of characters. Interesting, strong and unpredictable.

Dubbed "a British Texas Chain Saw Massacre", Cannibal Lake tells the story of a group of 20 somethings, wanting to end the summer on a high, take the advice from a girl they met at a festival about a secret rave deep in the Valleys. When their route is detoured they have no choice but to venture into the unknown. Once they come across a derelict Leisure Park, they soon realize what they thought was their salvation turns out to be the heart of the cannibals lair.

Action packed!

If only the colour grading was tweaked a little bit, this wouldn't be such an average film. I didn't mind the acting that wasn't the problem. I guess it would be on the technical level. Other than that a valid watch.

Wonderful war flick

This was certainly one of the best low budget war films I've ever seen. Excellent acting and editing from the cast and crew.

Not a bad British film

All these standard comedies that people do these days are getting stale. This one seems to have had some originality to it. Very good comedy 6/10
