Eh I would say 5 out of 10 and that's generous
On Saturday night I saw the 11:25pm showing of Avatar in 3D. First off I have to recommend if you are going to see this movie you must see it in the theaters. Also I think you must see it 3D, but that's up to you. There were a few good things about this movie and few terrible things. I'll start with the good:
1. The scenery was amazing. It looked like an entirely new planet and was very cool 2. The avatars actually looked like the actors which was kind of neat because you could believe that they were actually playing the alien 3. The fight scenes were great for the most part.
Now the bad:
1. Oh my god was the movie long. Yes I know it was technically only 162min which is not that obnoxiously long, but watch Departed or Inglorious Bastards...those movies don't drag. Even the fight scenes in this movie lasted way to long. 2. After first I thought it was cool how Bad-A the general was....by the end it was just annoying and he should have died like 7 different times in the movie. 3. Probably the worst and corniest part of the movie was the animals that helped them out to win the battle. Now I understand that whatever the tree answer his question. However why didn't they decide to help them at the beginning of the war? Then thousands of Avatars wouldn't have had to die.
So overall like I said it was eh OK. There was a lot that I liked and it kept my interest and I'm happy I experienced it.....However I would never want to watch it again especially not on a regular TV and not in 3D.
World's Greatest Dad (2009)
Loved this movie!!!!!!
Me and my friend were looking to watch a movie on demand and actually saw that there was a sneak preview for "World's Greatest Dad" for $9.99...man was it a great purchase.
The previews did not do this movie justice because I was skeptical after seeing them. I'm not a huge fan of Robin Williams, but the role was perfect for him. His son Kyle (played by Daryl Sabara) was hilarious and I see a bright future for him.
Though the fact that his son dies and it's a very shocking depressing part of the movie I feel like they did really well with it. They hit both points of teen suicides where good things happen of it like the jock turning is life around to people who pretended like they had known him there whole life. I feel like that is a big problem with society today and they hit on it in a lighthearted way which was good.
Overall I gave this movie a 9 out of 10. The soundtrack was great, heck everything was great...only knock on it is I haven't seen enough advertisement for it and people wont go see it!!!!! Also thought that his girlfriend Claire just OK, but that is about it.
Bad movie plain and simple
So I rented this movie based on some of the comments some of your previous posters had said about this movie...This movie was just god awful! The blood looked fake, the way the zombies looked wasn't good in relation to other zombie movies...and the acting oh the acting was just god awful. the only reason I gave it a 4 was because it was a zombie movie so isn't going to be a good movie in the first place.
Few questions though? - Why were they transporting the body and study of the girl on a passenger plane - If they did decide to do it on a passenger plane why on earth would there be one person watching the case. - Lastly I'm pretty sure somehow they could have found better actors and actresses than the two boyfriend and girlfriends because that was the worst acting I've ever seen sorry
Wolf Creek (2005)
Horrible Movie Waste of My Time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well I saw this movie a few months ago and it was terrible. First off I know it was an Australian made movie so they'd have strong accents, but they were all horrible actors. This movie dragged on for about an hour and fifteen min of no action just them driving in the car and at the asteroid thing. Nothing happens for 3/4 of the movie and then the last 15-20 min are gruesome. It was pointless. Me and my friend kept on looking at each other going dude there's only 30 min left something has to happen. Secondly the bad guy isn't scary is just some weirdo who is in insane believe me there have been many more scary killers in movies than him. Lastly the fact that Ben the guy out of the group just gets up and walks away is stupid. The bad guy had chased the two girls for like the whole time and then with no time Ben just walks out and gets away. All in all don't see this movie it's seriously for your own good it's not worth your time and it's not scary.
