Most annoying laugh-track
16 May 2023
I honestly don't get how this show was popular. Annoying characters, grating voices and a laugh track AND applause track that is probably the most overused in TV history. The laugh-track kicks in every 7-15 seconds. At the end of almost every line. Occasionally there's a 30 second pause - but that will be followed by a combination of laughter and applause. "I used several books of stamps" - laughter and applause. "Hah. Caught you." Laughter. "I like your floor." Laughter and applause. "They look like us." Five seconds of laughter.

Remember the Star Trek episode where the aliens had a laugh machine and would just keep using it? Even in the least funny moments. That's Rhoda.

The Way Home (2023– )

Can you count the shows this ripped off?

"The pond doesn't send you where you want to go, it sends you where and when you need to go."

Almost a verbatim plagiarism from Neil Gaiman's "The Doctor's Wife."

The entire concept of the pond is stolen from the last episode to air from The Twilight Zone - "The Bewitchin' Pool."

The acting is shallower than the pond, there's zero chemistry between any of the actors, and it's basically a chore to watch. Andie MacDowell was great in Groundhog Day. For some reason her Hallmark work is abysmal. Depressing. Uninspired. I feel like yelling "Wake up!!!" at her whenever she's onscreen.

That's too true of many of the actors. Did someone maybe release some knock-out-as on the set? Everyone seems ready to fall over at a moment's notice. The acting range is "I'm too tired to move" to "Wake me up when it's over."

This series should be an example in copyright law classes.
